Stony Creek looked like a team without much inter-league experience in the opening 20 mins. I have to think they're better than this. Down 3-0 to a heavy IDC squad.

they seem to be missing 3 top end guys, as well...Bibic and the twins...and awyer, but he can't play.
Travel always tough on teams playing day 1...especially the early game..decided advantage IDC

I'm pretty sure that OMARRA isn't there either. May be a few more on pointstreak that actually aren't there in MB

O' Marra is MIA.
Svedin got hooked after the 5th IDC goal.

Leblanc must have at least 3 Allan Cup POG selections by now. He's on a line with Lee Goren and they were dismembering a couple of woefully weak links on Stony Creek.

I'll add: That was a horrendous display from Stony Creek...but...I can see how 2-3 solid players would be a huge boost for them later this week. The Lieutenants hand some good players at the top end of today's line-up. It was the weak links down the depth chart who were struggling & presumably those guys will SIT when the next flight comes in on Wednedsay.

Stoney Creek had a few guys in the lineup that don't normally dress when they have a near full lineup. I was critical about the defence and goaltending earlier in the playoffs. They proved me wrong in league play - although I did mention Dundas and Brantford weren't as strong (deep) as 2014.
I believed against deeper teams they wouldn't be able to neutralize other teams as much or score at will like they did in league play. To this point, they were missing O'Marra, Mike Ruberto, both Donati brothers, Morrison and Bibic. I wouldn't gauge them on this 1st game with travel too. I am confident that their forwards are definitely good enough to compete with the other teams with a good mix of speed, size and skill.
Pageau has been on fire all playoffs and was again today with a hat trick. Tremendous speed for the senior level.

Lee Goren ex-Bruin?
He would he pretty good at the sr. AAA level.

Lee Goren ex-Bruin? He would he pretty good at the sr. AAA level. Also had a tour of duty with Vancouver. He could be a factor this week. Leblanc is a Cadillac. He & Pageau both had 3G games today but Leblanc made it look easy.
