Just remembered my password: Not only can i not confirm these players posted above...Other than the two guys from Clarenville, Rosie and Mcrae, i don't know who the Cataracts have spoken to. But i would suspect the team will be as strong or stronger than in 2016.

Very disappointing to see Sloan and Stefanishon playing for Cataracts. I guess the offer$ were better out East than they were at home.

Meh...The ACH has already done the same thing...multiplie times...buying players from off top Newfoundland teams to supplement themselves. They do this even though they CLAIM to have a huge source of talent around the GTA. Stefanishion is a very enticing beast to go after. Hes been courted/signed by multiple teams both in/out of Alberta. Just look at his goal production in the last couple AC's and it's obvious "why".

Wade: Name 1 guy the ACH has signed away from Newfoundland, we signed Huilt and Bragg last year Bragg living in Dundas and Huilt in Toronto. Bragg quit this year and went to Grand Falls for $$ and a guaranteed chance to play in the AC and Huilt who didn't have time too play this year it seems until after Jan 10 when we didn't protect him and he signed in Stoney Creek. We signed our Captains brother this year Ryan Watson only to lose him for $$ to Gander, who by the way promised in writing to release him back prior to Jan 10 if the player or us requested his release. He remains the property of Gander after both the player and I requested his release, Hockey Canada said any release is unconditional and Gander didn't have to send him back even though a written promise was made, sad really. Enough said Don Robertson

So, adding Fergus to those two...that's 3.
Am I missing others?

Signing one of The Armys' key soldiers from their 2016 Allan Cup squad isn't going to go unnoticed. It's already caused quite a wave.
Personally...If I were trying to win the 2017 Allan Cup...I would be cautious how much I poked the 2016 winner. You've ALMOST got an opportunity to win '17 while the '16 winners are hibernating. Why not let them sleep right through spring?
Why sneak into the den and make noise like this?
Bold move, Cotton...

NFLD constantly buy ACH players, Wade...not the other way around.
Hulit and Bragg were not signed away from NFLD...they returned home...and one of them went back for the money, and the other jumped ship to a different ACH team for more money...Fergus is also a local ON boy...paid to be a mercenary out East for several years.
you are pointing the finger int he wrong direction...you even mention 2 of your best players in AC play being bought by the Cataracts...
Hello?
yes...poor NFLD....LMFAO

Hello? yes...poor NFLD....LMFAO The finger gets pointed everywhere...every time this discussion comes up. But...Is there a single SR AAA team in Canada who can honestly say they don't struggle to ice full line-ups? I mean...whether it's ethical or fisically wise...is moot nowadays. Everyone is scavenging. Some more than others? Sure. But it's dog eat dog these days. A few end up chasing tails and only one gets the biscuit.

Wade - yes Hulit/Bragg/Fergus all are Ontario guys. 2 aren't out East and back with 1 team in Ontario where they should be anyway.
Add Watson and Greg Stewart too who had trouble making local home games but for some reason never missed a game out East.
I wouldn't be pointing fingers at Ontario teams.
In Bentley's case, Stephanison wasn't a regular last year so your team did the same thing you're accusing the East teams of doing!

Wade - why is that? It's hypocritical to complain that other teams add players for a run and when Bentley does it they're the greatest team ever!
The East league must spend a fortune flying Ontario guys in and paying them enough to sacrifice a weekend when they could play locally. I don't see how Ontario is at fault when a few guys decide to stay home.
Don - I think you over thought things. There's a lack of guys so you released a pile of guys hoping to upgrade and there's not any new prospects available. Now it appears those guys cut don't want to rejoin the team after having gone through this several times now and have been committed. 12 skaters for must win games is bad. I sympathize with what you say with Bragg and Hulit. Money accusations aside, it's not a good image to run 2 lines out there constantly for both fans and players. New players then adapt to that mindset and the issue snow balls.
As a fan, I like seeing the players Stoney Creek has. I'm not sure it's good for the league though. They've raided some other rosters and then get the best available guys for the most part. They haven't had all of their best guys at once yet and it's tough to imagine any Ontario team beating them.

Nowhere have I "complained" about the Cats' signing these guys. Nor have I "complained" about the ACH signing guys from Newfoundland.
I'm just the guy passing the information along.
