Rosetown has the same advantage as mb they are allowed 10 APs You could argue Rosetown might have the most ideal situation of anyone. They've got access to 10 AP's, they've had a league to play in where their roster players can get games togoehter...and...they don't have to juggle any kind of playoff games in SK. All they've got is whatever lower tier Provincial games their Affiliate Players are playing. I know it was a big commitment for them to handle the CHL schedule and I'm sure logistical costs were very high...but...they've got to feel good about their readiness going to Manitoba next month.

Have to agree with that. They don't have to compete in the playoffs, so they can be rested and less bumped and bruised heading into their series for Prarie rights. How has the Alberta games been going?

the problem in ON is no leagues, other than prov Jr A, to affiliate with...and in that case, its more about spare bodies when you are short, than actually adding real talent.

Ya...but...by NOT having any other Senior hockey in Ontario, players have only one league to play in. Don't kid yourself...the SR AA leagues have always been able to recruit a fair share of top players. And they'll pay $$$ as much or more than SR AAA teams. That's a reason why Matt Stefanishion was an "AP" for The Army last year.

sadly, my point, exactly
ON is at a distinct disadvantage in the AP department

Yes but the have the advantage of ALL the players that reside is the Province of Ontario. Ya. That's kinda what I was getting at. Ontario SR AAA teams/executives look at other branches where there are lower tiers of SR hockey and seem to think it's an obvious & distinct advantage. I'm not sure that's the case. There are no filters on these lower tier SR circuits. They're free to vacuum up the same player(s) any SR AAA team can & they don't have to budget for a trip across the country to a National Championshp.

there is he 'outlaw' league here, that soaks up a LOT of talent...especially younger guys...and that league is not recognized by the OHA or Hockey Canada...conveniently because ACH pulled rank and had them 'banned'...so the league kind of bit of its own nose to spite its face.
