Where did you hear about Muir? Because I haven't seen him as a General this season.

He wasn't going to get as much game time with Stanford coming in, and DeSerres returning from injury. I guess Innisfail could offer him a starting spot?

why would the Geennies trade Barnstable? I'm guessing they would've preferred to keep all 3 goalies until the January cut-down...but...Barney wants to play regularly & he probably be likes his chances of getting more starts with Inny. I got a personal invite to attend practice tomorrow night...that usually precedes a big signing showing up for a top secret Wednesday night skate...

Wasn't Barnstable the guy they were counting on last AC, before he was ruled ineligible?

Wasn't Barnstable the guy they were counting on last AC, before he was ruled ineligible? No. That was Stanford. They had Barney & Stanford in New Brunswick. Stanford was there as a B-37 because Deserres was injured and nobody else they had signed wanted to make the trip east. I've never asked anyone with The Army about WHY Stanford was deemed ineligible. As I said last April, they'd taken CIS goalies as B-37's in the past & never had an issue. Maybe the rules changed, maybe the rules were never enforced or known in the past...who the fuck knows anymore... Anyways...Stanford & Deserres are both healthy, signed and starring...for the time being at least.

Time will tell. Barney was highly reliable in terms of his commitment level to the team...and...from what little I know about the art of goaltending...I would say he was a pretty good "first save" guy. Not always polished on rebound control, however. That said...It might not always be fair to expect excellent rebound control...given the unpredictable & often chaotic outcomes of what goes on in front of a SR AAA crease. The 2 guys they've decided to go with...have very good resumes. And I'm pretty sure they've proven themselves to be dedicated to the team. So...ya...time will tell...March & April are when final grades will be given.
