Took a look at some of the postings on facebook. Good Luck.
the league has plans for a base team to be based out of the Gatineau area and have already announced teams in Shawville, PQ (May 1st), Fort Coulonge PQ (April 29th), and Cornwall, ON (May 8th). The league is looking to have 8-12 Senior AAA teams up and going within 3 seasons (2021-22) and are hoping to be able to host the tournament by the fifth season (2023-24). I'm all for this! With teams in the Ottawa District playing in the Quebec league and if they eventually do go AAA they would have to compete in Ontario for Allan Cuo playoffs this would necessitate a playoff between ACH Ontario and the Ottawa District team or even a three way playoff if Kenora ever came back Another option would be to have ACH play the North and Ottawa District play Quebec

Time for the annual thread. As there is not a ton of Senior A hockey press releases, sometimes the best way to find out what's happening is online. Relocations of teams, who is declaring for AAA status, which leagues besides Alberta and Ontario will play, etc. Would love to hear from everyone over the summer what they're hearing. Would love for more executives to let us fans know what is happening. The more we know the more interest there is for Senior AAA hockey Just a few that I know are "in the know" I'll list from each province and many questions everyone is curious about: Ontario - will Thorold be back? Who will bid for 2020 Allan Cup? Brantford - naitch Andrew, sniper and cowbellgirl (where did she disappear to?) Nice to be missed I was busy writing the history of the Intercounty Baseball League and the Brantford Red Sox history for the 100th Anniversary of the IBL this season. The book, which was to have came out at the beginning of May, is finally coming out this month (or so they say). And as Doug posted, I changed to enogca from cowbellgal as I couldn't remember my password and screwed up my account when I tried to reset it.

While the arena is freezing cold in Whitby, I always enjoy going to a game there. The volunteers have always treated me well as well as I have fun with some of the Whitby fans. It is a good distance to travel from Brantford but it's always well worth the trip

Hearing rumours around here that the Stoney Creek Generals are moving down the road Grimsby to play out of there and be called the Peach Kings. Will update when I hear more. I hope this rumour is true. That is a terrible arena in SC. Only way you can a half decent view of the ice besides sitting in Don Cherry's is either in the standing room area on the one side of the rink. Or sitting way down in one of the corners in the seating area.

More news from the AA circuit in Alberta, Red Deer and Maskwacis are joining the fray. Additionally, newcomers to the league, Sylvan Lake, are going to be playing out of some historic grounds of the Bentley arena for the 2018-19 season - filling the void since the Generals left to Lacombe two seasons ago.

I heard that Maskwacis pulled out of joining the AA circuit already? They also apparently pulled out of the Junior level league they were supposed to be in too.

Whitby has posted their training camp dates.
Doug, Allan Cuo page only shows Dundas and Hamilton confirmed for 2018-19. Do you have any updates as to who has confirmed?
Anyone have more news on Stoney Creek moving to Grimsby?
And any updates on Brantford for next year?

It is out of respect to Ham. I do know there has been no recruitment during the summer so that does not bode well going forward.

Wow! Huge arms race in Ontario! Will be a good season and could be better if a few top Blast players end up playing.
Steelhawks with a good offseason have signed former NHLer Chris Stewart and callup Andre Deveaux who with his size should be a notable addition. I wouldn't be surprised to also see Chris' Brother Anthony another former NHLer sign too. Both Stewarts are in their early 30s and have recently played.
Generals have signed former NHL dman Chris Campoli.
Quiet offseason from Dundas thus far but I'm sure Don is up to something.

Who actually chooses the host team for the Allan Cup. It appears a forgone conclusion that 2020 will be held in Ontario. That was a Hockey Canada choice. Would the OHA or in the league in this case Allan Cup Hockey pick a host? The only requirement I remember there being was having a team playing at the Senior AAA level the previous season. With the way teams are loading up this year is it possible this season's ACH playoff champion could be given the hosting duties?

Interested parties have to bid...there haven't been competing bids in a while, if memory serves?
