WTF is going on in the league? How can one owner operate 2 different teams? Conflict of interest much?

I had thought that Tony was not just the GM of Stoney Creek but also owner, or at least part owner?
What happens to the Stoney Creek Generals when he moves to Brantford.
Seems strange that Stoney Creek will also play 4 of its home games in Brantford.
Brantford attendance is #1 countrywide in Senior AAA. I know a few years back they were the number #1 team in team Attendance for all levels of Junior/Senior hockey in Ontario (not including Major Junior of course). That year they averaged well over 1250-1500 fans per game which is a ton for Senior hockey.
So don’t blame them for wanting to gain a few larger crowds but does this actually mean SC folds after current season and the organization moves to Brantford?

As much as i try to look the other way on this transaction...my head always comes back to "conflict of interest". I guess we shall see how this carries out. Falasca is looking at the crowds (re: attendance...remember, the Blast have historically given away a pile of tix but still the best attendance in the province) and the arena. The civic center is a perfect rink for Senior AAA...not a bad seat in the house and you don't freeze your balls off watching a game. Yes the concessions probably need work but not too bad. I do know this...there were other previous owners of teams looking at the Blast as well.

I think the most important thing here is...unfortunately...a bunch of loyal SR AAA fans are SOL this winter in Brantford and for them...I feel bad.

You cant have an owner operate 2 teams in the same league and hope to be taken seriously.
Moving SC to BFD makes a ton of sense

It was recently announced Stoney Creek is playing a game against Whitby in Brantford on October 19th. And they might be doing 3 more as well.

is there a consensus yet, as to SC simply moving to bfd, or is the league going to allow the 2-team ownership farce?

If they run them separately. And don't allow any trades between them. It could be do-able. Pickin's are starting to get slim on teams. Anything that could save a team is more than likely a good thing.

Seems to me, the more logical explanation is the SC owner wants to host the AC, and currently lacks a suitable rink, or fanbase, with which to do it.

Seems to me, the more logical explanation is the SC owner wants to host the AC, and currently lacks a suitable rink, or fanbase, with which to do it. Could be HIS motivation behind what is certainly a sketchy enterprise. But I also more-than-half-expect the league will motion to allow it to stand because, as has been mentioned, as the league stares down the barrel of FAILED EXPANSION....they can’t afford to be picky.
