Well, figured we'd start this one with a doozie.
I don't think this is a surprise to anyone around Alberta or following the league, but the Fort Saskatchewan Chiefs have folded after 15 years in the league. They issued a statement today via Twitter thanking fans and sponsors.
There's been talk for a few years of them moving to Leduc, which may have some additional draw for players and fans. Will be interesting to see if anything comes of that, but for now, the ACHW is down to 4 teams, and 3 in Alberta.
Senior AA teams and leagues are all adding and gaining popularity, it will be fun to see in years to come how those leagues develope.

Sounds like Allan Cup Hockey in Ontario - down to 4 teams. Although no team folded after 15 years.
