Looking forward to this one which will be my 25th Cup. My first one was a fan in 1969 watching the Galt Hornets sweep the Calgary Stampeders 4-0 They would sweep the Stampeders again in 1971. Third Cup was as trainer with the Hornets in 1980 when we lost four straight to a very powerful Spokane Chiefs team

Can someone answer this , is the Lacombe rink warm ,cold, freezing, or not to bad ? Getting there Saturday, hoping for some nice weather I’d say it’s warm. The heaters are on a timer that you as a fan control. You push the button on the wall and the heaters turn on for 10mins or so. It’s pretty much constantly being pushed, so it’s always warm. Last few games I’ve even gone as far as taking my jacket off and rocking a t-shirt. Include a 1,000+ fans packed in there on top of this and you’ll be pretty toasty. Weather here today is really nice! Be good if we had this weather for the Allan Cup.
