Just curious if all the former Brantford players that were selected in the dispersal draft now revert back to Brantford

How long are player contracts/agreements for in ACH? If it is season to season couldn't they play for whomever they want? Besides what good is having a player who can just not play for you if he wants to play closer to home? With the way Brantford withdrew last year I would have to think that they had something worked out for the players returning to Brantford, but who knows with the fact that it is the Stoney Creek team that returns not the Blast or did they technically merged since they have the same owner? Worse comes to worse Brantford will likely have a few players available to trade if any of the players from the 2017-18 squad weren't claimed by one of the other teams.

that is no surprise...SC wanted access to the BFD market and barn...actually a smart move as they drew flies at their old home.

So basically, the Stoney Creek owner purchased the Brantford team so that no one else could move into Brantford and he folded his existing team taking the players with him and kept the Brantford team going.
Surprised he didn't keep both going with chance he might actually have both of them qualifying for the Allan Cup as it looks like the Atlantic and Quebec spots likely won't be used and there are only two teams in the Pacific region and there were only three teams in the Western region and you can't justify giving either one of them a second spot. Two hosts, Pacific champion, Western Champion, furthest advancing ACH team not hosting the Allan Cup and a second team qualifying for the tournament in place of the unused spot for either Quebec or Atlantic. Even with five teams in the league with they way this year looks they are getting four spots in the tournament. I am amazed that a team from northwestern Ontario or Eastern Ontario doesn't declare for a spot in the Allan Cup tournament. The Cornwall Prowlers would be the "best" possibility from either of those areas as they dropped out of the Outaouais League to form the Eastern Ontario Senior A League and they are the only team that actually played last year in that league. The other team from the Outaouis league that was from Ontario was the Cumberland Bandits who folded after 7 games last year, and Cornwall finished last (5th) in the league standings, so I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.
Are there any signs of life for senior hockey in either Northern or Northwestern Ontario besides the WOAA? I was surprised at least one senior team hasn't started up in the Thunder Bay area after the new arena that would have been home to the Winnipeg Jets AHL team was cancelled a few years back. Lower level senior hockey has been in the upper peninsula of Michigan since the 1930's and a new league is springing up this year in the lower part of the state. Sault Ste. Marie would be a traditional thought with any league that operated in northern Michigan or even some of the other towns that have had teams over the years in a Northern Ontario-Michigan based league.

My understanding was when the Stoney Creek owner bought the Blast he was going to be operating 2 teams- one in Brantford and one in Stoney Creek. So, he is just moving the Generals to Brantford now and using the same players he did in Stoney Creek? I want to see some of my Brantford Blast players back. And I am sure so do many other Blast fans.
There hasn't been any news yet in Brantford of what is happening for the upcoming season.

Just curious if all the former Brantford players that were selected in the dispersal draft now revert back to Brantford I assume they would be. With a few exceptions, most of them didn't suit up for the teams that picked them in the dispersal draft.

SC has a good team. Personally, not a fan of them. Hopefully some of my Blast boys will come back and play for Btfd.
