Wade you and the Gens just knock yourself out with HL. Give it your best shot, Declare war, Make them pay the price, Let'em know who's boss, if it's a battle they want - give it to them. Yes by all meens be sure and choke them within an inch of their life as I'm sure they've heard your battle cry, watched you circle the wagons as they beat their tomtoms and put on their war paint (no offense meant to HL), sharpened their spears and filled their quivers with fresh arrows, sheathed their best scalping knives and lit ceremonial fires to roast their enemy over and each morning look with dismay at their cornflakes (continue reading)- Oh by the way - check yourself - as in, it's just the semi-final, you haven't won anything yet, your not the only game in town, when you're at the top there's only one way to go (oh shit did I say that out loud) and you love to piss in the enemys cornflakes I am sorry that in my previous post I had to mention another series at this delicate time for the Gens but somehow I just couldn't help myself. I'm sure you understand Actually, Hockeypops, your wrong again. The Generals are 2012 Chinook League Champions. Thus, they HAVE already won something this season. And I don't care that you mentioned a different series in this thread. I was only responding to your first post in this thread where you seemed to imply I had "forgotten" this was just the semi-finals. Truth is...I am well aware of the playoff format and I am following ALL playoff series in ALL parts of the country. I figured I would let you initiate any discussions for the Sylvan Admirals series...seeing as how it is your baby boys squad. I assumed it would be significant enough for you to at the very least place it into its own separate thread. But thats all up to you. There will be a separate thread once there is something to really say. I'm the first to admit that the old HL mystique has most people looking the other way and wondering what's up with their team, as I predicted, you scheduled a Monday game at the RD Arena. I personally think that was a good move and have no problem saying I will probably attend. I am first and foremost a fan of hockey, particularly good playoff hockey but do on occasion enjoy a good joist of words. But there is just one thing I was wondering in regards to the Gens and HL, both of whom have a few players a little long in the tooth. If you go at it hammer and tong, thrashing and wailing away - would people be obligated to follow up on that TV commercial that keeps running and tells you to "Report elder abuse"?

Nice zing coming from a fellow who's been pulling his teeth out of a cup of Polident on the nightstand every morning for longer than the internets have been around.

Knowing hockeypoops and his little penguin sonny boy, they both are in a desperate struggle to keep up with the big boys of Senior AAA. Can't wait for the Bentley Sylvan Provincial Final..... That's if hockeypoops and penguinboy don't shit in their own cornflakes to spoil the party ! Best of luck to you and your sinking Sylvan ship ,

Best of luck to you and your sinking Sylvan ship , I would not normally respond to such a post but at least this once I will point out that the Generals were in their 7th season before having a break out year and it was their 4th season before they challenged themselves to AAA hockey. I am not suggesting that we are comparing ourselves to the Generals and their many records. Check your own history and that of many teams before you use terms like "Hanging on" and "Playing with the big boys" because the Gens, Fort Sask and everyone else were once there too and it takes time to build a solid consistent team. Did we shit in our own cornflakes, yep we sure did and we'll be happy to meet you in the final, should we make it. Just remember you might want to be careful about what you wish for.

You're going to confuse them with facts Pops. Let 'em beak. What Bentley hasn't done yet is beat HL. If they want to play us in the finals, they better start thinking about the games they have in the near future. Colonel, you're always such a class act when you get on these forums. Way to represent!

Wow Poops, Careful what I wish for ? Can't wait to see you and Beezel leaving the rink with your tail between your legs. Doubtful it'll be the Bentley rink cause after last night it looks like the Stonyburgh Penguins will be doing the Admiral Ass-kick !

The Gens' aren't looking past anyone, worried about SLA. Don't flatter yourself. Furthermore...as far as facts go...This SLA team which "pops" wants to promote as the little engine that could...is....IN FACT...considerably older than Bentley. Come on now. Two summers ago, I argued vehemently that Sylvan Admirals were an "expansion team" and "pops" himself insisted otherwise, stating he had simply transplanted the Rocky Rams into Sylvan and changed names, there-by rendering the "Admirals" eligible to register 'AAA' with the previous years 'AA" recognized under the Rocky Rams banner. With this on agreement...it ACTUALLY makes Sylvan Lake Admirals the 3rd oldest team in the CHL behind Inny & Stony. In fact...several current Admirals were carded players with Rocky/WC Rams. Not that it matters a whole lot. But if were going to sprinkle facts on the corn flakes lets make sure we spread the bowlshit around evenly.

Oops you did it again Poops ! That bowl of cornflakes is really starting to smell a lot like Penguin shit! Here's a fact for you Beezel, it's the one that I told you about earlier, the Stonyburgh Penguins have started on sinking that Sylvan Admiral life raft ! Here's another one for you Beezel, hope two doesn't make it too confusing for you, the Army has definitely not looked past the natives, in fact, they can't wait for the tribe to show up. You better get to Bentley to watch the 'feathers fly' ! And one other thing Beezel, make sure to wear your Sylvan Admiral jacket, that way everyone will know what you 'represent'....... A wannabe General ! Just like ole Poopy and the Penguin!

You better get to Bentley to watch the 'feathers fly' ! And one other thing Beezel, make sure to wear your Sylvan Admiral jacket, that way everyone will know what you 'represent'....... A wannabe General ! Just like ole Poopy and the Penguin! For sure we lost. It happens. Will I be at the game - probably. Will I wear my jacket - absolutely. Will everyone think I'm a wannabe General - hardly, probably just you and a few other Generals fans that would assume that anyone in the Chinook League who tries to win and wears their team jacket must be taking away something that is the property of the Generals and is a wannabe. Or in your short sightedness is it just the Admirals that you hold that lopsided, fan fanatical, view of. I've never been afraid to admit the Generals have an impressive history and a talented team - but to suggest that if I lose I'll leave with my tail between my legs or that by trying to win I'm a wannabe General - you flatter yourself. We didn't build a team in this league to be satisfied with losing or to be ashamed of the ultimate outcome each season or to be a General unless you arrogantly equate the definition of trying to win as being a General wannabe. How good for you to think so highly of your Generals. (Oh by the way that's being facetious, if you missed the point)
