Better team won...Blast are skilled, but Bentley played a smart, sound defensive game. Instead of trying to run around pounding a team that doesnt engage in that type of game, Bentley skated and used positioning and smarts. They played just well enough to win, and 3-2 is likely a tad flattering to Bfd. Blast had a quality team, just not quite on par with the competition.
Prpic embarrassed himself (again) at the end of the game with a stupid, selfish play...2 mins left, and he fired a Bentley player's glove over the glass. he was dismissed. Ya, wouldn't want your best player (and he totally is) on the ice to try and tie the game. He took a couple other straight punches at Bentley players early on, too. Kyle Spurr with a nice cheapshot at the ed of the game, as well. Bfd do not play a tough game, but sure do like to pick their spots. Gens showed remarkable discipline.
Hamm was dressed in case the game was a rough one, and he could go out and try to fist check someone...I am sure, in another game, he would have no shortage of takers.

I've been waiting to hear "defensive game" mentioned in a Gens discussion all week.
If they get it dialled in...they can hang some Cheeri-0's on pretty much any opponent you want to put on the rink.

Haven't heard from naitch lately. He's always been nothing but first class to have a discussion with. I know he's a big Blast fan. I'd like to hear his thoughts on today's game? First off, congrats Wade on the win. Little bit of revenge from 08 don't you think. Your Gens played a very disciplined game. To be honest, the Gens could and should have had the game wrapped up after the first. The Blast were in a pile of trouble. From what I watched, the Gens played a smart game blue to blue...Blast had no answer. I would venture to say they were "out-coached". At this level, a player-coach does not cut it. It is highly advantageous in my opinion to have the suit behind the bench to make in-game adjustments on the go/as needed.

There was a measure of revenge "feel" to it. Although...nothing can ever take away a result from the past. 08' was a long time ago now
