Looking forward to a great series. Well at least it has potential to be great. Been to the last two Dundas games. Different team when they have a full squad. Thorold has been better team than McCoys all year, but with a full bench Dundas was equal with them. Was fast paced good game. Think with all players Dundas can compete and win any series. Well Stoney Creek may be a stretch.
Anyone know what the lineups will look like tonight?

I honestly don't know how this will play out. It will depend on benches and who each team has and which goalie gets hot Leggatt or Mole/Shantz. I give a slight edge to Brantford in terms of depth and game breakers.
Dundas has been short at times and Brantford's best players aren't always there. Attendance will decide the series winner. Both teams playing possibly 3 games in 4 days will be tough with 2 mid week games. I can see both being short handed for game #1 of the next series on the 5th day.

Well that turned out to be a great game. From 2nd period on it was pretty much a dominating performance by the McCoys. They were ready to board the bus and go home down the 403 Hwy as they were up 5-2 midway thru the 3rd. But then a very questionable call lead to 4 straight Blast goals. Liney had his arm up and called icing. Most players stopped including tender Mole. But no whistle. Brantford jumped on puck and pocketed an easy goal. Simon Mangos and Mole, as well as Dundas bench, were infuriated. Took them off their game. Blast took advantage and scored 3 quick ones.
Matt Foy (Minnesota Wild / Houston Aeros) then took over. Scored to send game to overtime and scored game winner in double OT.
Foy is best McCoy since Ryan Christie. Built in the same mould and he never stops hustling. Hardest working player on both teams easily.
What a difference a full bench makes. Looking forward to Thursday.
Someone mentioned Stoney Creek may be a stretch but after watching the McCoys role 3 strong lines, it may not be. Addition of ex NHL Jeff McMillan and Duncan Dalmeo ( who was only player missing tonight) on D gives Dundas strength on D.
Also not to get ahead as they need to win again. But with Mole in net, that alone is a huge advantage over Generals goalkeeping.

2 referees and they still could not get it right & and the liney miscue sure looked like offside to me , next game me bets it will have a superviser in attendance observing . {a little late. i thought {KOSTIC} IS bad but these two made him {gulp} look like BILL FRIDAY. THE LEAGUE BETTER WAKE UP BEFORE STUFF CAUSE THE UNECESARY DEMISE OF A TEAM ,FOR NO FAULT THEIR OWN

The goal everyone thought was offside definitely wasn't at least from my vantage point. Put got shot up the boards hit the lineman outside the zone and bounced back in. Prpic skated back circled the blue line then touched the puck. The icing on the other hand def was icing the lineman in that end waived it off after Rebernik already had the puck and Mole was just standing there. That was a very interesting game to watch but the REFS were the biggest Joke, to call that much during the game and then no penalties in OT where I think the game actually got chippier is pretty bad. Pretty entertaining watching Don Robertson Wave a stick at an idiot fan as well, at least the linesman talked him down before he smacked him in the head.

Yeah referees both of them were horrible. Many missed calls and many they did call were questionable. Agree Dundas was the better team. Up front the two teams are fairly even but the Blast D was the weak point last night. Felt bad for Leggatt. Shots were 62 to 42 for Dundas but it felt like it was closer to 82-42. Play was in the Blast end all night especially in overtime. Hope we have a good crowd tomorrow. School holiday on Friday so that should help.

Anyone get footage of Donnie waving the stick. They were idiots behind Dundas bench. Question is why didn't security stop the fans from reaching over the glass. Robertson should have whacked them like Domi did years ago.

I was at the Stoney Creek/Brantford games Fri/Sat. I can't believe Caister got 4 games on Sat.
Basically, Brantford gave up a PP goal and Caister swore at the ref and said that's on you and got tossed. That should've been enough and max MAYBE 1 game more but 4 games is insane. I heard the whole thing standing above the teams benches.
Without Caister and Burgoyne, the Blast D core is very young and untested at this level. Their forward and goaltending depth is sufficient.

how about that head check on Dustin Alcock? Nasty. Yes it looked nasty and hopefully he's ok. But from my vantage point it actually looked like a collision and Harvey didn't intentionally hit him in the head. I think that is why he only got the one game automatic suspension for the high hit.
