Since there hasn't been much on the Atlantic Canada rep, I figured I may as well provide some updates on the Haut-Madawaska Panthers. Haut-Madawaska finished the regular season in first place with a 22-2 record in the six-team Circuit Régional de Hockey, a league which has five teams from North Western New Brunswick and a team from Témiscouata, Quebec. The league had a different playoff format where all six teams made the playoffs and the lowest ranked team to lose in the first round, was eliminated. Haut-Madawaska swept last-place Témiscouata 4-0 in the first round, in fairly convincing fashion. Both Bas-Madawaska and Kedgwick lead their series 3-1 over St. Basile and Perth-Andover respectively, meaning, there's a good chance St. Basile and Perth-Andover will play a best-of-3 series to determine who will play Haut-Madawaska next. You can find scores, stats and league news by going Here .

Perth-Andover and St-Basile will play in a best-of-three series this weekend to determine who will play Haut-Madawaska in the semifinals. That is expected to get underway next weekend.
Game 1 is Saturday in Perth-Andover, Game 2 is Sunday in St-Basile. Game 3, if necessary goes Tuesday in Perth-Andover.
It will be interesting to see how the layoff will impact Haut-Madawaska, who played their last game on February 16th.

that is a bizarre way to do things who plays in the other semi? and how do they qualify? Sorry about that, didn't explain that properly. The other semi features Bas-Madawaska and Kedgwick, who won their series over St. Basile and Perth-Andover, respectively. The playoff breakdown was 1 vs 6, 2 vs 5 and 3 vs 4. The lowest seed team to lose in the playoffs had their season come to an end while the other two losers played a mini series to face the highest seed in the semis. The two middle seeded teams play the other semi. The league went from 8 teams to 6 in the off season, so I think this was a way to allow for a few more games.

Perth-Andover won the best-of-three mini-series 2-1 thanks to a 6-4 win over St. Basile on Tuesday night.
Perth-Andover moves on to the semifinals vs Haut-Madawaska while Bas-Madawaska and Kedgwick play in the other semifinal.
Both games get underway Friday night.
