Sure a lot of excitement building for the Norway House vs South East teams...what a joke this is in Manitoba. Haven’t heard a peep of what the hand picked, no games played together as a team yet, rosters will look like. ?? Norway got the boys ready? Been practicing your slap shooting?? Southeast will make the 10 hour bus ride up Saturday.

Have a bit of an idea about the SEPT roster but as per usual with the mercenary type characteristic the Allan Cup has taken on there’s always a lot of names but who actually plays remains a mystery. I know that they’re going up to Norway House with significantly less than their ideal roster. Not too many guys interested in a 20 hour bus trip for one game I guess. Agreed. It’s a joke. But the bigger joke is that the series is starting tomorrow with Hockey Canada not having decided yet on the format for the Allan Cup as far as regional reps. Pathetic.

Don't get me started on the advanced planning issue. How difficult can it be with on 11 teams and only having to fill 4 spots among 9 teams (and more realistically 3 spots for 8 teams since having Haut Madawaska play a qualifier against anyone would be impractical given the distance and lack of other teams from east of Ontario). Make a plan if a team drops out modify the plan. Just make a decision and move on. The only other scenaro I could have seen would be have Rosetown join Innisfail and Stony Plain for qualifying when Manitoba originally had three teams and have the further advancing of Whitby and Brantford qualify for the Allan Cup (and if they both lost in the semifinals have a best of three wildcard series for the final spot). But with the Ste-Anne withdrawing and Whitby being eliminated from the playoffs; having it be either Rosetown or Brantford being given the extra spot based on some criteria (such as Brantford having to win the ACH playoffs) seems to make the most sense.

Nice to see deebeegee out from hibernation, must be Spring! Have to agree with him about the lack of info coming from HC and/or Hosts. Impossible to plan an event like this on minimal info ; umless they know something nobody else does.
