Caledon Crusaders added to Ontario ACH
Here is the Media release from ACH
August 27, 2020
CAMBRIDGE, Ont. - Allan Cup Hockey League Commissioner Tom Strauch and the Allan Cup Hockey League are excited to announce that the Caledon Crusaders will join the league for the 2020/2021 and will play out of the Mayfield Recreation Complex. David Arsenault who leads the Arsenault Hockey Group will operate the franchise.
“David is a welcomed addition to our league and operates teams at all levels of the OHA and that experience will put him in a position to find success at our level. We welcome Caledon to our league” stated Strauch.
After a detailed look at the hockey landscape the ACH has determined that a January start to the season will be our plan as the safety of our fans, athletes, officials and hockey operations is our first priority.
“We are disappointed that the Whitby Dunlop’s will be taking a leave of absence for the 2021 season and look forward to their return and thank Ian Young for his commitment to the ACH. On a more positive note we have received an application from a group in Lindsay who plan to start play next season” stated Chairman of the Board Don Robertson.

Good news indeed. Now let's hope we will have a season.
And, Caledon is about half hour closer to Brantford than Whitby!

Great news to see the ACH will remain at four teams and even better to see a team in Lindsay is interested in joining the league. I'm hoping the door is open for the Dunlops to return, but I am not holding my breath.
