Alberta: Coyotes (moving to Cremona to finish the year) stony plain and innisfail.
B.C: Powell River (rumours that they would go for a Mackenzie cup against AB prov winner)
Ontario: Brampton, Hamilton, Dundas, Wentworth
That’s all I know

No word on if any teams in the Atlantic region intend on registering at the AAA level. Haut-Madawaska, who has registered as AAA the last few years were granted a one-year leave of absence at the start of the year. That league is down to four teams, but has a strong following. You can find the league website here: www.leaguelineup.com/welcome.asp?url=crlhockeyElsipogtog and Bouctouche who have competed at previous Allan Cups are playing in the Beauséjour Senior Hockey League this season. The league expanded to Miramichi (Northmen), Doaktown (River Valley Lumberjacks) and to Springhill (Coal Miners), Nova Scotia before taking in three more teams from Northern New Brunswick after that league was down to three teams. Here is the league website: www.beausejourseniorhockeyleague.ca/The level of hockey has been fairly competitive and all the teams are playing at capacity or near capacity crowds. Miramichi has been averaging approximately 2,000 fans a game and the 50/50 last Friday was more than $4,000.Miramichi does a very good job of promoting their games and they also livestream their games on their Facebook page. Of all those teams, I could see Bouctouche or Elsipogtog potentially registering at the AAA level, but that remains to be seen. There's also a third league operating in the province in the Saint John region that's pretty competitive. southernseniorhockeyleague.ca/

I could be wrong but doesn't the provincial/regional champion in the Maritimes usually get the option or an offer to go to the AC? Its good to see interest and lots of strong senior leagues.

There has only been 1 Atlantic Cup playoff since 2005 which was in 2016 when Lameque au P'tit Mousse declared Senior AAA and the Grand Falls-Windsor Cataracts won the previous season Herder and represented the province.
2018 had three teams but two teams withdrew prior to any tournament being scheduled.
Newfoundland usually has the previous season Herder winner represents the province.
New Brunswick would have a team or two declare for Senior AAA depending on where the tournament is being held
Nova Scotia and PEI haven't had a team declare at Senior AAA (and still be playing in by playoff time) in about 15 years.
The only times there was more than two teams in the last dozen or so years was when the Allan Cup was held in Atlantic Canada in 2015 and 2017 and there were short trips to the tournament and guaranteed entry in the Allan Cup tournament itself.

No BC AAA.
Powell River, Rossland & Penticton are operating AA. Not AAA.

The only way to save senior AAA hockey is to put together rules regarding number of pro's etc By putting rules in place it may encourage teams to enter AAAA Hell just look at all the 33 AA teams in Ontario

Or...allow AA teams to compete? They don’t have any interest in going AAA. In fact, the AA leagues mandated not to allow AAA teams in their leagues. Which, by the way, are icing a much better product than what any of the so called AAA teams/leagues are doing

Were you in any of the scenes from the Senior documentary about the Bentley Generals in the middle of last decade? Love that doc For those who aren’t familiar it’s a Canadian documentary film that followed the Bentley Generals during a full season right to the Allan Cup. One of my favourites. Title is “Blood, Sweat and Beers”. It’s on Tubi.

One thing to contest, though, is your comment about AA teams icing a better product than AAA. If you mean “on ice talent”, you are so far off it’s not funny. All AA teams in Ontario, whether it’s the WOSHL or the outlaw WOAA league, both limit the number of former pros to just 2-3 per team.
The McCoys, Steelers, Gryphins are 90% ex-pro. The AA teams would be throttled. Trust me I’ve watched both levels.
Maybe Alberta AA doesn’t have a pro level limit?

No AA team in Alberta holds a candle next to either of the Eagles clubs in Alberta. Stony Plain played an exhibition game against the Camrose Crush, whom they have their affiliates through, and beat them 6-5 in OT, with 12 skaters against a full roster. Stony Plain and Innisfail still showing that AAA hockey is alive and well in Alberta. They start the provincial play downs this weekend in Innisfail in a best of 5 series, winner takes all, which according to Wade is not as big a feat as any championship the "Army" ever won because blah blah blah Army this, blah blah blah we paid our players and almost ruined Sr hockey in Alberta, blah blah blah our previous owner can't even show his face in the Lacombe rink where all the "Army's" banners are hanging. Alberta has no ex pro rules in any Sr hockey league. The AA leagues all have bylaws against AAA teams playing in their leagues throughout the year, which is a shame. AAA teams make all hockey better, the best AA teams can compete with the AAA teams, but the depth that AAA has is night and day in comparison.
