I thought they already did, Ron? Donnie has affiliated with prov Jr A teams several times in the past, if I'm not mistaken.

Caribous had a few injuries to key players so that is why they are taking so much from the ceebees

Also will be interested when someone else from Atlantic Canada goes AAA since the Newfoundland playoffs finish a couple of days before the Allan Cup and would leave no time for a series

To ask a question, why is all OHA teams (excluding WOAA in western ontario) AAA but everywhere else is choice? Is it to keep a standard of competition at the AAA level ?
The Caribous were beat out by the team they are affililiated with...is that correct?

Very few returness from last years Allan Cup roster.
The 'Bous might be bringing a more talented team this time around but the experience they gained in FSJ is nowhere to be seen.
Churchill would be the one key returnee (IMO). He got shelled last April but he didn't have any help and his team had a very tough schedule, playing against all the most experienced and most talented teams up there.
Maybe the 'Bous will get some luck with an easier round robin draw this time around.

This team is alot more talented than last years. Last year they made the mistake of taking alot of older veteran players who just couldnt play hockey at that speed.
This year they have alot of guys who are not far removed from Major Junior and AHL.
If they can put this team together and get them clicking in the short time they have this team will turn some heads.
Problems i see are the absense of
Ryan Lauzon - Lives in ontario and i dont understand how he is not picked up by a team up there. Fantastic player.
Freddie Diamond - Affiliate goalie who is a great goalie and would be a good backup to Churchill. Smith is not capable of playing this level.
They will definately not go down without a win like last year. #3 - Jeremy Kavanagh – Defence #2 – Andrew Hill – Defence #8 – Matthew Thormey – Forward - USA College hockey graduate #9 – Scott Brophy – Forward- AUS hockey grad. Major junior team captin #11 – Matthew French – Defence #12 – Ryan Delaney – Forward #14 – Brad Crann – Forward #17 – Dustin Russell – Forward - AUS hockey grad. Major junior #18 – Mike Dyke – Defence #19 – Mitch Oake – Forward #21 – Chris Crosbie – Forward #22 – Chris Sparks – Forward #26 – Sean Wadden – Forward #27 – Dale Sullivan – Forward #33 – Brandon Roach – Defence - he played 5 AHL games last season #44 – Travis Chapman – Defence #57 – David Victor – Defence - AUS hockey grad. Major junior #63 – Chris Bartlett – Forward #72 – Jordan Smith – Defence #91 – Ryan Power – Forward
#29 – Lee Smith – Goalie #31 – Jason Churchill – Goalie - NHL draft pick.
Ivan Hapgood – Coach Ian Moores – Asst. Coach Andrew Hapgood – Equipment Manager Scotty Maidment – Trainer Derek MacPhee – General Manager

To ask a question, why is all OHA teams (excluding WOAA in western ontario) AAA but everywhere else is choice? Is it to keep a standard of competition at the AAA level ? The Caribous were beat out by the team they are affililiated with...is that correct? I believe the OHA and OHF, along with MLH, have an agreement that any AAA team in he OHA territory has to play in MLH...and conversely must be accommodated by MLH if a realistic and proper application is submitted. I DO know that no team in the OHA region is eligible to independently declare AAA and pursue the Allan Cup w/o joining MLH. If any tams in SW ON want to compete for the Cup, it has to be as a member of MLH...that's a coup for the OHA, because they now control all AAA Sr hockey. This was done in conjunction with Hockey Canada, to prevent the 'outlaw' league (Elora, Palmerston, Shelby, Petrolia, etc) from trying to declare AAA and competing for the Cup. Kind of an insidious agreement between an inept organization (Hockey Canada) and a corrupt one (OHA)...which totally benefits the MLH. The other Ontario regions, as far as aI know, do not have this restriction, because there are no leagues, outlaw or HC sanctioned, in which potential AAA teams could participate...and no little emperor like Brent Ladds trying to rule over them.

It is my understanding that if there is a league then a team must play in it to compete for the Allan Cup and that it is applies to everyone across the Country.
