Way to go FSJ

I think its pretty simple at this point.
The Flyers had a game plan when they came down to Army Town and that game plan is being well executed.
Thing is...I am sitting here 100% UNSURPRISED by FSJ. I haven't seen anything from them that I didn't expect to see in terms of tactics and personnel.
They are getting good results from hard work and persistence.
They won game 3 honestly and they now have 2 chances to advance to Kenora.
There is no denying who has the upper hand at this point.
The Army is losing the series and we need to dial it up like never before in order to change things.

MY MY you must be wades lower in command, no humour when the holy grail from bently fail Ya. Good point ronrlee. Its really strange that people would be happier about winning as opposed to losing.

Being happy when you win is understandable...........but preaching your own kudos to no end when you do can get annoying.........so when that is silenced, its golden. (guess i wont get to read a post about what colour was on the paper after Bentley player x took a supreme being dump after the game) which sucks because I'm on break.

(guess i wont get to read a post about what color was on the paper after Bentley player x took a supreme being dump after the game) which sucks because I'm on break. I don't think I have been carried away with anything I have said. This Mac Cup Series is a huge deal here in Central Alberta and it coincided with Bentley's push to be Hockeyville 2011. There were 2000 people in the building last night and Bentley was front and centre on the National stage....finishing 4rth in Canada for Hockeyville votes. I guess for you guys in Ontario, your too far away to have any feel for how polarizing its all become. The season is now at a point where the only teams remaining are the clubs who started out with a single goal of winning the last game. The true believers. The Generals are counted in with this group...but...because of the rivalry with FSJ + Hockeyville + being in the AC Final 3 straight seasons...its grown into something bigger than just another playoff series. I think even a few of the astute folks from FSJ had a feeling this series was going to be huge and I have never denied the Flyers have a place in this story. They are the defending champs and together with the Gens' a few incredible chapters have been written into the Allan Cup's book of big moments. So, to be honest, if anyone is wanting to see FSJ win this series just because its going to cut down on the amount of commenting I make...your barking up the wrong tree. You should all be glad there is something happening here that people all over the country are hearing about....and caring about. Because you basically have 2 choices: 1) Tolerate a little bit extra hot air from the Don Cherry of Senior Hockey. 2) Sit around and watch the sagebrush roll across the rink while nobody even gives a second glance at Allan Cup hockey. Its not arrogant. Its the truth. Just ask around other parts of these 2011 playoffs: Has anyone else even had a game where they had 1000+ fans attend a game? In Whitby? Dundas? Norwood? Steinbach? Winnipeg? Whereever SEPT played their games? Sylvan Lake? Anywhere? Don't get me wrong. I am not the reason for the big crowds and I am not suggesting anything I have ever typed as anything to do with that (it absolutely doesn't). Its the hard working people who put the teams together and the players who make the commitment to be a part of these teams. I am still very proud of my team and my home town. The set back of last night doesn't change that. It just means we will need to stick together in our opportunity to rally. The Army gets labeled as a favorite for all the right reasons. Its not easy to carry that around all week in front of thousands of people. But...we are right here in the epicenter of it all. Living and dying with every bounce, big goal and bad line change.

Any updates on the guy who got cut??? I am waiting to hear back on that. I assume he stayed overnight in RDRH. As for Muddy....he's played well. He made a big save early in the 2nd period on a close in chance. He doesn't catch many pucks cleanly though. I hoped for more SOG's last night. We really didn't test him near enough and a bantam could have made the pass on Mason's goal. All he had to do was lob the puck to the far blue line and let 4 Flyers pick and choose who got to take the breakaway. Worst line change I have ever seen.

Does that mean that Padjjeff is going to be known as the Ron Maclean of Senior Hockey now?

I guess folks out West missed the part where Dundas was named Hockeyville this past year?
I guess they were too busty planning their parade?
You know, being as how SR hockey is so much more important out there.
