Wow. Kudos to the 13 skaters who played for Dundas today. 12 after Foreman got hurt. And of course to Mike Mole. Wade-we agree on this. What a goalie he is.
I'm actually pleased (if you can be when you lose) to hold what most prognosticators predict is the best team in the tourney (Grand Falls) to a 5-3 loss is encouraging.
I would think that if this is best team and it's held to a 2 goal victory, then maybe, just maybe, Dundas should be ok against the rest of the field.
With Mole in net - 66 shots, you can win any game.
Hoping Donnie will comment. And hoping even more that there is a possibility of a few reinforcements flying out to the Rock. Just 2 or 3 more skaters and hey with Mole in net, you never know!!!!!

And I'll add Dundas actually outscored Grand-Falls/Windsor even strength 3-2. Too many stupid powerplays including a few 5 on 3's...

66 SOG.
Mike Mole can obviously be happy with his effort today.
Other than that...there aren't any positives to take away from that type of situation.
The one bit of good news they have...and I mentioned this the other day...Dundas doesn't play on Wednesday. So, they're already guaranteed to get a day off prior to elimination games.
The other thing we MIGHT encounter tomorrow...even if Dundas doesn't get a plane load of players in the next 24HRS...I wouldn't be shocked if SEPT has some similar issues with their roster.

Prelim round does eliminate you from competition...just makes it a lot tougher, but with the Wed off-day, the guys who did actually play will get some rest, and the other half of the team won;t be tired at all.
McCoys were going to have to go through the QF's anyway, so maybe this is there way of staying 'fresh. The other 12 guys can play tomorrow, then everyone will be good to go on Thurs!

Dundas could still avoid quarter-finals.
Obviously they'll need to win tomorrow & get some help...but...the closeness of the final score today might help them out if that pool ends up with a tie in the standings.

Ronaldo, when you get outshot by 40!!!! Shots and only lose 5-3, yes, the score flatters you.
Mole must have been otherworldly.
