Not to worry...there are 4,000,000,000 people in the GTA. The Blast will simply put an ad in kijiji asking for excellent SR AAA players & all will be well......

So far only 1 more player from the blast has joined Stoney Creek this year and that's Jon Jankus who barely played last year due to injury. And there are quite a few season ticket holders hence why Brantford easily has the biggest crowds in ACH

Wade that post got you Hook, Line and Sinker. The Blast will be fine and they do draw more fans per game than any other team in Canada (NFLD excluded). You have no idea how many players, good quality players, there are in Ontario. It may actually be "4 Billion" LOL....And yet at every opportunity you put a shot into Senior hockey in Ont. From what I see Alberta is the only province in the whole country where Senior AAA has decreased in terms of # of teams. Alberta will only ice 4 Senior AAA teams with Okotoks folding. All other provinces have added or stay status quo. Think before you post and make fun of other provinces when it would seem Alberta is not exactly the strongest.

the only reason the blast has so many people at the games is their stupid theme nights red carpet at every game as a fan I get sick of it after the second time let's just play hockey and the little goofy looking guy in the suit think he runs the show the nhl will be calling soon lol

I wish people would read what they have typed before hitting the post quick reply button...
My only comment at this time is that it has been very quiet in Blast land re: players. The little tidbits of info I used to be able to get have dried up. Don't know if this is due to there just not being any info to provide or if the Blast are being a little more "cloak and dagger" re: new recruits considering the new teams in the loop.

You should know...I'm NOT taking shots at the entire Province of Ontario hockey here. My post was directed (sarcastically) at a FEW particular posters. Big difference. I've read public & private posts from people IN Ontario who don't feel ACH expansion is a good idea and/or have key questions into how exactly it will all unfold. And let's be honest...I might not be in Ontario...but...I've got a decent handle on what it's all about & I am more informed/objective & calculated than some posters who ARE from Ontario. You can disagree or call me arrogant for implying so...but...I'm not looking for your validation anyways. It will be a very interesting season for the ACH. One way or another. We already KNOW expansion teams ARE signing players who've recently played for other teams in the same league. If the numbers trotted out here last spring were anywhere near accurate...the mathematical probability of this happening ought to be astronomical. I said at the time those demographics were irrelevant and so far it's very clear I was right.

There has yet to be a signing by either of the 2 expansions teams in the ACH that has taken any significant player off a currents teams 2014 roster. The blast seem to be finalizing there roster in the next couple weeks ahead of training camp and have only announced Jeff Caister and Kyle Spurr as being signed to the team.

The blast seem to be finalizing there roster in the next couple weeks ahead of training camp and have only announced Jeff Caister and Kyle Spurr as being signed to the team. Hamilton signed a key player from Dundas' AC roster. And whether the migration of players includes "significant" players or not...isn't my point. All teams need both quantity & quality players. The expansion teams might not be grabbing great players from every existing teams...but...we see they're signing some names nonetheless. This doesn't lend strong support to a few poorly informed posters who insist Ontario is teeming with high end players just looking for a high end team to play for. And let's get down to brass tacks....since its that time of year... What kind of numbers do ACH teams have committed for this year? How many guys on paper? How many guys skating?

ACH teams haven't started training camps yet so noone is skating as a team except for the teams that have open rookie tryouts, most likely due to the fact there season seems to start pretty late at Oct. 30th
I hardly call 1 player so far going to hamilton a migration. Impossible to debate this til October hits and rosters are announced it's all theory right now.
Hamilton has said there roster will be set Sept. 29 so we will see how many players in the ACH switch teams but right now all that is confirmed is dundas loosing 1 player to Hamilton and Brantford loosing 1 to Stoney Creek, players switch teams every year.

Dundas may also lose Scott Stafford as well who has tryouts in the ECHL currently after playing the end of the season last year playing pro in Germany.
