Gens win 4-3.
This was called a tad tighter than other round robin games. And from what I have seen so far, it was a better all around game, as well.
Much has been said about Dundas 'not caring' about the round robin. I guess I'll leave that up to them.
The Army cares! Big time. THe bye through quarters is a nice thing to have...but...pride is always a must.
With just an egg carton worth of players, Dundas performed well tonight. They could have pulled it off. There were some hairy bounces.
Gens got the GWG with only a half a tick left in the 2nd period. Paul Cabana pulled a loose puck down the RW and drilled a 40 foot slapper past Worosz. Dundas' bench didn't like the call but it was correct.
THe McCoys made it interesting tonight. Not a classic...but...interesting.
Thing is...they played piss poor last night and now they are 0-2.
Does it mean anything? I think it does. Time will tell.
I KNOW for a fact both quarter round byes are up for grabs tommorow.

Your thoughts on game 3 wade ? It was like watching a baby seal get clubbed to death with a soup spoon. Fort Frank is working hard but they're a classic reason why we shouuldn't have Northern Ontario is a seperate branch at this level. Honestly...one of the weakest senior teams I have seen all winter. Clarenville is probably only as good as last year (at best) but they could have ran up the score yesterday...had it not been for some brutally nervous/clumsby hands...on the PP especially.

How do you see Clarenville stacking up against SEPT ?

How do you see Clarenville stacking up against SEPT ? I think Churchills' GAA is about to get dented. SEPT plays us lines...not individuals. It will be much harder for the 'Bous to defend against this and Churchill can't just track the puck carrier...he has to try and find the open guy(s) when the extra pass can hurt him. From a Gens POV...we want Clarenville to win this game and then (of course) we want to take our game against Kenora. If this scenario plays out today...it would (according to my math) set up a SEPT/Dundas quarter final...which would be great. But again...I don't see Clarenville finding a way this afternoon.
