Heard a rumour from a friend who works for the city works dept in Cambridge. He said the city has come to terms with the debt owing from the previous Cambridge Hornets Senior A franchise. The ice time is also now available for Friday nights again.
This is "third" hand info so I take it with a grain of salt. Wondering if anyone else has heard the same? If so, any possibility of a resurrection of the famed Cambridge Hornets?
I certainly hope so. They have as much history as the Whitby Dunlops, Orillia Terriers and the Thunder Bay Twins in Ontario.
Would love to see a team in Cambridge again.
I guess if the rumour is true, is there a possible owner in the wings?

That would be great to see the Hornets back. I have heard rumours of that over the last couple of years. Let's home it's true.

That story keeps making the rounds...from what I understand, that Friday ice has been given to minor hockey for the last few years, and double and triple A travel teams (Bantam and Midget) have it locked up...we will see, I guess...
