I believe the deadline to declare AAA is Oct 15 in BC so should know shortly if the Powell River Regals are competing in BC this season

Any word from BC on additional teams for this year? PG Mohawks ? Looks like PR sees an opportunity to not travel much . ie Mac Cup in BC and wondering if they can host the Savage Cup(BC) without having a team last year, if so i bet they will be in as FSJ hosted last year

If powel gets to host anything thats NOT RIGHT . This team is double AA when they want ,then triple AAA when it suits them . They can go triple AAA if they want ,but they should be travling where every they have to for BC playdowns . BC is hosting the MAC this year so if they were to beat FSJ then they could host Alberta. Thats it . I herd no team in PG .

Hockey BC has not been able to produce a solid opposition for the Flyers going back at least a few years. The last Savage Cup was an all time low for Hockey BC. And this entire time...the Regals have been re-inventing themselves as a 'AA' team. So..ya...damn rights they should not host the 2012 Savage Cup.

I may not always see it the way you do but this is one time that we see eye to eye. In another part of this blog I commented on how teams seem to jump in and out of AAA to double AA as it best suits them to be involved in an Allan Cup or Mac Cup coming to their province. Of course I was Poo Pooed as being crazy because of course this had nothing to do with it. To those I say, please blow your smoke up someone elses pitoot, I've seen it and watched it for a while and either get in and get serious or get out and stop pretending. AAA Senior Mens hockey is a serious commitment that takes serious work and fund raising to sustain. It is a slap to the integrity of the AAA level to be constantly jumping in and out.
