Oct 29 Rosetown 7 Willisotn 3 Oct 30 Rosetown 7 Williston 6 OT Nov 5 Balgonie 7 Williston 2 Nov 6 Balgonie 8 Williston 2
I can only comment on the Rosetown Red Wings but they came out looking like the 2004 St George Garaga and they were missing 5 regulars and first string goalie.
It appeared they were easing up on their hitting against a very young inexperienced Junior College Team who were only playing their second game in their first year of existence. Balgonie on the other hand did not hold up at all playing a very chippy rough game
It was only two games against a non AAA Opponent but I would say the question might actually be whether the AAA teams can keep up with the Red Wings. Rosetown wont repeat their undefeated season but they will hold their own

All Lloyd has to do is sit back and watch Balgonie and Rosetown beat each other up in the first round of sasky provs.
The winner will play Lloyd in round two with the winner and loser of the series both making the allan cup. Should be a great road to the allan cup.

Should be a great road to the allan cup. Not exactly sure how the math works but there are 6 seats in the Allan Cup. Seat 1 the host, Seat 2 Alta / BC winner, Seat 3 Atlantic Canada, Seat 4 Ontario ACH, Seat 5 Northern Ontario, Seat 6 would then be Sask / Man playoff winner. The only way it changes is if Northern Ontario or Atlantic decides to opt out as Northern Ontario did two years ago in FSJ. As it was explained to me, if Lloyd wins the Sask Championship then Manitoba is automaticaly in without any playoff necesary. I am open to correction but don't think two teams from Sask are "Guaranteed" a seat at the AC in Lloyd.

The host of course is a Sask team but that doesn't cancel out the other Sask teams unless they beat the host and beat Manitoba. I stand corrected if I misunderstand the format.

Wade did not account for the extra spot in Sask
1. Pacific 2. Host- Lloydminster 3 Sask- Balgonie vs Rosetown 4 Manitoba 5 Ontario vs Northern Ontario 6 Atlantic- Grand Falls-Windsor Cataracts
The only question was whether they were going to allow Saskatchwean winner to play Manitoba. If the Sask winner had beaten Manitoba then Manitoba would be out and all three Sask teams would have been in the Cup
Since they are not playing Manitoba then the Manitoba winner goes directly to the Cup since with the extra spot for host province there is no longer a need to do an inter branch playoff This is identical situation when Fort St John hosted. There was no need for BC/Alberta playoff and Alberta winner(Bentley) advanced to Cup along with the winner of Powell River/ Whitehorse playoff
Situation is now simply that winner of Balgonie- Rosetown advances to Cup along with Lloydminster and Manitoba winner

Lloyd will still play the winner of Balgonie and Rosetown to decide who wins sask am I right?
I know in previous seasons the team who won sask or Alberta etc... could pick up a goalie from a team that competed in the province. Is that still in effect.
Ex: Bentley picked up Jordan Ramstead from Sylvan Lake last year. Lloyd picked up Cory McEachran from Weyburn in 07 and he backstopped Lloyd to an Allan Cup title.

Lloyd will play the winner of Balgonie/Rosetown but it is meaningless as as far as the Allan Cup is concerned as both teams are already in the Cup It will determine who is the Saskatchwan Champion
Yes allowed to pick up a goalie

Mibad.
With Nothern Ontario & MLH playing off...the only non-championship team will be the newfies.
Should be a very strong tournament.

I stand corrected!!!!!! Was lead to believe Ontario had two seats at the table not one. The rest sorts itself out for this year but have heard from sources high up Quebec is again rattling it's sword about competing in 2013 in Alberta. I'll believe it when I see it. They seem to do the dance each year but can't get away from their paid players and MinorPro system. It's almost like the Provincial body wants to impress HC but hasn't bothered to figure out who's going to be able to actually run a true AAA team and attract players while competing against the LNAH. If the rest of Canada has a problem competing in a so called no pay situation with no Pro league to worry about, I can only imagine the outcome against an outlaw MinorPro systems that writes its' own rules. Quebec, of course had said they would be in Lloyd this season but failed to committ beyond the usual gum flapping.
