I can't fault the Border Kings for exhausting the new affiliation rule . I predicted this would happen and its all on Hockey Canada for creating the problem.
The Kings would be foolish not to make hay while the sun is shining on this one.

LBK is very strong this year. The one weakness they had was in net but Westblom will likely take care of the concern for them. They've handled the Gens this year. Hopefully The Army can come up with a strong spring push to get a shot at them again. LBK are doing well this year, no doubt about it. I wonder how effective they would be if they were not in the position of being the AC hosts. It seems that their guaranteed entry to the AC tourny has brought them the good fortune of quality players seeking to affiliate for a chance to play for the big trophy. In fact, it appears most of their offense comes from their affiliates. Great for them, really. I don't begrudge their position this year, they've earned the right to host as much as any team. But, we'll see where they are at next year, when they have to compete for a spot to the AC and likely wont have the depth of affiliate players they are enjoying this season. One would hope that LBK can again maintain a strong club as has been their pedigree in the past. Last season they seemed to have been focused on this year and didn't do much recruiting to keep themselves competative in the Chinook League but that's a first for them in a while. I don't suspect they should be wrote off so quickly because of one season.

And I have to just add one more thing...even though its so painfully obvious to everyone.... What level of ludicrous, low end, lunk-headed idiocy have we sunk to....when the "criteria" enables a team which LOSES a Provincial Series to advance to a National Championship (supposedly) Come on! Bass Ackwards. Brutal. Bush League. Bullshit. um......the Memorial Cup? But yeah, this bit of stupidity pretty much takes the cake...Lloyd should be sitting home in the first round.

SHA has been staunch with favortism towards the Border Queens for years. But, apparently, they have switched to Balgonie. Ridiculous, absurd, insane, call it what you want. SHA is a joke so Balgonie could conceivably not have to win a game this ear to advance to the AC That's absolutely criminally idiotic.

SHA should have their coward GM and president's head on a choping block. Figure it out sask and get some hockey minds in there that have the ability to help that prov. Kellym@sha.sk.ca if anyone wants to let the genius himself know what you think...

It is what is is.
And if I were the Rosetown Red Wings...Id turn focus on what matters now.
The Lloydminister Border Kings are only getting stronger. They are now beginning to look every bit as deep/dominant as any Allan Cup squad I have ever seen.

Agreed, It is what it is this year.
I hope someone does more than belly aching on Internet Forums, and takes the proper course of action to make a motion to SHA at the Annual General Meeting to alleviate repeated match-ups errors in the future.

Its not exclusive to SHA. Each calender year we can expect the unexpected to happen in any branch under the SR AAA umbrella. The forums serve an important purpose...ensuring each indiscretion is brought to light...but...your right...the next step(s) need to be followed up on. Its past due, really.
