Horse Lake started a goalie who hasn't played this year. Let in 3 soft goals in the first. The ringer goalie who won an Allan cup came in and let a couple soft ones in and got pulled after 10 minutes. If Horse Lake had a decent goalie, the game would have been closer. The teams were evenly matched aside from the goalie issues and HL can skate with the AAA teams. FSJ will be fine.

The 8-4 score wasn't indicative of the game. Horse Lake chose to start Darien Allen in net in place of McEacheran. Which was a surpise to many as it turned out this decision was a bad one as Allen looked no better than a rec hockey goalie at best. Horse Lake will have a better line up next weekend as they were also missing a few players. Pretty good game to watch.

Agree with the last 2 posts . I thought HL talent wise is better, there team game especially , on the defensive side is there weakness and yes 3 or 4 weak goals, offensive side HL is dangerous . You could see a team in Fort that played like a team and one that's played together most of the season ,and in HL they looked like a throw together team . Which team will win I don't know but I wouldn't count HL out , they have more talent to come and if they start to click look out. No ringers brought in ,same team they played all season with . A couple AA players from the NPHL . I actually expected more from Fort , that team is totally beatable, and if HL can get a couple different players and tighten on the D side lookout

Too bad we can't get a boxscore. I assume next weekend this will be different.
I doubt Fort Sask took a full line-up either. It was a very short turnaround for them to organize everything for a long roadie.
They stole a very important game and have the advantadge now...no matter how talented HL Chiefs are.

Well it looks like Fort Sask did take a good lineup up to horselake , and it was what I thought it was ,HL did not play as a team and now they showed they can . I guess they travel better for the long roadie. Advantage not sure to which team, should be a great game today . Good luck to both teams .
