Stonyburgh PP is popping again tonight.
Its 5-2 mid way through the 3rd period beneath the glorious timbers of the Glenn Hall Arena.

It was tied at 2 after the second so I assume Wade is referring to a 5-2 Stony Lead in the third

Mibad.
5-3 final. Stonyburgh Penguins lead series 2-0.
Im slightly blindsided by this.
And yet....
Stonyburgh handled SLA throughout most of the season. My math had them outscoring SLA something like 40-14 going into tonite (2 pre-season games, 4 fixtures + the playoff game)
I would almost describe Stony as "rag tag"...except that...they still know how to work a PP and if you take PIMS against them they tend to make hay.
This...and the fact SLA is not getting quite the same level of goaltending they were prior to McLaughlins' freak accident is why I think the Admirals are taking on water.

It was a hard fought game by both clubs but no doubt Stonys PP was the difference tonight. Zahara, Locke, Auchenburg , Cox and company know how to do the deed when they're rolling and I give them full marks for making the most of their opportunities. The Admirals weren't out-worked but made to many errors that were exploited to the fullest.
