LOL @ the 760 for attendance. Who put that? There was easily over 1000.

It might not be a bad idea for someone to clarify a complete & official overtime format. Two games in a row there was confusion and they couldn't have gotten it right because it was different both days.

It might not be a bad idea for someone to clarify a complete & official overtime format. Two games in a row there was confusion and they couldn't have gotten it right because it was different both days. I agree. This is not official but had heard it was the Referees call to go 10 min OT without a flood or end change then a flood and end change if still tied or at his discretion no 10 min overtime just go to a flood and 20 with end change. Why a referee would be given a discretion call of this nature is beyond me. I suspect Coach Sutter was upset because HL was dog tired at the end of regulation and a quick break, no flood and 10 minutes on dirty ice played to Bentleys favour. Most of the HL team is just now playing competative hockey and few HL players have more than a handfull of games so the Gens conditioning is to their advantage. All that aside, a cut and dried rule would keep the referee out of it and clarify a confusing situation.
