A nice big hand to Brian Worosz, the Dundas goaltender, always at the ready whenever called upon, and once again turned in a superb performance as he so often has. What an asset in so many ways. Great job well done! Congrat's to the rest of the McCoys as well for winning this series 4 games to 1 and playing some exiting hockey despite the ridiculous distractions.
As for Blast owner Peter Ham, seemingly enthralled in his own pathetic stupidness, please accept profound thank you's on behalf of Mr. Neal, and Mr. Volpe, and Mr. Davis, and Mr. Mifsud, and Mr. Christie, and again Mr. Davis. I'm sure they all appreciated the man advantage opportunities that they were allowed to score on while your showcase was sitting in the penalty box. I'm sure many others thank you too.
You run over to your former employer, The Expositor, telling them what to write, using your favorite players names to fool the local folks into thinking that you are something other than a sad jack-ass consumed in your own stupidity, or so it all would appear to me.
Your favorite captain, a fine player and a fine person by your own admission, stated earlier this season that your team had under achieved last season and that he was determined to show that they were much better than that. And so what does the owner do? He takes away any chance they had by promoting some silly circus like road show headlined by someone acting like a thug with a mission to hurt someone. I don't know how your players feel, but I know how I would feel if I were in their shoes. Weather they have the desire to tell you is really up to them.
As for Mr. Legget Sr., although it's his prerogative, perhaps he will now stop wandering around the rinks taking aim at Dundas's management, as he has been doing ever since Legget Jr. had a bit of a hissy fit and walked away from Dundas. Perhaps Sr. might want to reconsider his stand that Dundas management was just jerking around young Scott Stafford, never having any intention of ever keeping him on the team. Perhaps Sr. would have been better off paying attention to the Brantford goal where Mr. Stafford, wearing a Dundas sweater, scored the first goal of the series by turning the tender inside out on a break away. Perhaps also for reconsideration might be Sr.'s expressions for all to hear, that any Dundas player who wouldn't fight the celebrated attraction (penalized for intent to injure), was nothing but a chicken. Maybe the player wished to play in the next round of playoffs and he will now get his chance. Smart, in my opinion.
Their are other examples of course but time and space is limited. I can only suggest that if Sr. is back next season, maybe he could arrange to sit up in the both and "articulate" with the owner who didn't even send any of his players to a recent charity game for those that serve. Maybe Sr. would be "just what was needed" up there and might "fit right in".
I noticed Mr. Ham's admission tickets read "PLAYOFFS-Round One". Perhaps he should have added, "Limited Time Offer, Come See Us While You Can".
