Thunder beat Lightning with their "B" Teams as a half dozen or so were playing playoffs with their league teams. Not a fan of the Thunder but Allan Cup Teams better be ready for this team as they are going to be very strong (weakness may be goaltending). Forwards are big and skilled and they probablly have the best "D" in the tournament. They "finally" have good coaching in 2 time Allan Cup winner Jamie Leach and a sh*t load of cash to keep everyone happy. If Marv doesn't win with this group theres something wrong that runs deeper than wins and losses. Heres hoping that the Allan Cup stays "out" of Manitoba and good luck to all, should be a good tournament.

justlooking I have to agree, South East is my sleeper pick to win the Allan Cup. There Goal tending will be fine, as the team plays a solid team defense. When you have Schneider, Bonni, Henry, Butland on the back end and Cara, Crampton, Strome, Purdie, Vanderwater, Smith up front this team is good and should not be taken lightly.

I don't think any team should be taken lightly. There is gonna be 6 good teams in Lloyd so it should make for a good tourney. SEPT has been there before so obviously they will be one of the favorites.

I remember a few years ago when the Thunder & Generals played in the final on TSN...absolute great game.

I agree the Thunder could be contenders. They seem to have a nice blend of experience, youth and speed.More games played as a complete unit would be beneficial but you gotta swing at what's pitched to you.justlooking you don't have to tell us you're not a Thunder fan because that is very well documented.I'm not sure how you think you know so much about Marv's cash situation or the character of the team.I don't want to see any teams fold or pull out because i am a fan of senior hockey but the north stars couldn't even ice a team this year so you must have had afew of your own problems over there.Your constant attempts to discredit Marv and the Thunder are getting old.By the way, you forgot to post your anti-american rant and your reminder that you won an allan cup ring in 2003.

Don't need to you just did! Thank You deebeegee. Discreditting I'm not, my post suggested the opposite they will be a force in the tournament and even go so far to say the "favorite". As for the "cash" comment all I said was the truth.

The allan cup is hard to win and i don't think it's fair to suggest that if they don't win it's because of bigger problems.Yes your comments about the roster were positive but there's a lot of factors in winning the cup. You're already setting yourself up to be able to say '' i told you so'' if they lose.
