Lloyd also has Aki Seitsohen, who is also a very good player. hockeypops you can't go by stats all the time. I just thought LBK might want to spread the scoring out. I think they do want to spread the scoring around but because the Davidson line played Provincial games together well after the LBK core guys were sidelined it made sense to me Stainforth would to keep his least rusty line together. I don't know if thats fail safe logic. Just a theory. I look forward to seeing Seistonen. Every time I wacthed LBK this year he was OUT of the line-up. He is listed as one of the biggest forwards in the tournament: www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=73476

I watched Aki when he was with the Prince Albert Raiders many years ago. He was a good player, but was stuck behind Kyle Chipchura, and Jeremy Colliton. He played with the Shellbrook Elks this year, had a decent regular season, and an outstanding playoffs with 39 points in 11 games. Lloyd needs to use guys like Aki in situations where they can succeed, and that's not in a shut down role. I think Lloyd is a sleeper team to watch out for, along with South East.

I don't care how shitty the league is...when your averaging nearly a fistful each game... your a good hockey player. I'm also wondering how many (if any) European's have ever won or even played for an Allan Cup?

For LBK's sake, I would play the shit out of Aki. Good question on the euro thing, there has to have been a couple.

Perhaps check the stats. Nyren, LBKs top scorer, ended the regular season with 29 points in 21 games, the APs, DaSilvia 23 for 10, Allen 17 for 8 and Starr 13 for 7. These last three averaging 1.9 to 2.3 points per game. I would be hard pressed to suggest line changes are a good thing that will add points on the clock. Top scorer is 1.3 ppg as a comparison. And if every line was drawn based upon calculations like these, then you could be a coach, 'pops. We know its not that simple. FWIW...I think the Davidson line will remain intact. Look for Clayton & Starr to play together. Yes you are partialy correct that if lines were drawn based on just these things, that's how it would be, however some of my conclusions about DaSilva, Allen and Sim come from this; 9 of 15 goals from DaSilva happened when Allen and/or Sim Assisted. 5 of 9 assists to Allen came with DaSilva and/or Sim in the mix and 10 of 15 of Sims assists came with DaSilva and/or Allen in the mix. I would suggest from my "Armchair Perch" that this speaks for itself about the chemistry of a line and why you would keep it intact. But you are correct "I don't coach" on the bench any more, consulting is far less stressfull for an old fart like me And yes I missed Simm in my original post - sorry but he was the third guy most played on the DaSilva / Allen line and was 17 points in 8 games or 2.1 ppg and Aki may have had a mitfull elsewhere but was just 1G 3A in 6 games when called to action with LBK.

Some of the resumes these players have is unreal! How many players without a resume do well is the question and maybe the difference maker in some of the games. Some guys don't even register on hockey db. Are those the die hard locals of each team or are these guys legit players?

Some are great players, some are good players and some... are dusters.

It is hard to find Junior B player profiles on hockey DB! And there is a lot of them on the LBK roster. All of Staniforth's buddies. Hey Wade? How is your ice time working out for you?
