The GFW had a rough quarter final last night against Stonyburgh. There were guys going head long into the boards a couple of times and one very severe collision involving two Newfies in the early seconds of the game. I could be mistaken...but...I don't think all the GFW guys finished last nights game. So, one of the big questions for this afternoons' game will be: What kind of legs will the Newfies have? They will need everything. SEPT has been the closest thing this tournament has to a dominant force. They're rested, experienced and well built for a Championship here. Its no accident GFW advanced. They played hard last night and as was mentioned a couple weeks ago...they DO have the legs & conditioning to sustain a high level of play. I think SEPT is a favorite today. Thunders' defence is the best its ever been & their powerplay has flexed effective strong points as well. Good luck SEPT!

Wade...in your opinion, how is this year's Allan? Is there support and a buzz in Lloyd re: the Allan? How does it rank against other Allan's you have attended? If you are waiting to give a final summation at the end of the tourney...no problem.

If you are waiting to give a final summation at the end of the tourney...no problem. Its been good but with the potential for so much more riding on tonights game. I am staying in a "thrifty" motel on the end of the street here. The elderly gentleman staying beside me has driven his massive Dodge Monaco here from Unity. I don't know how far the drive was...but...the car is older than me and he has seen more hockey than this entire forum put together. I bring it up...because its folks like him that make this tournament so special. I asked him who his loyalty is with for tonights ALL-SASK game? He didn't have any specific team. He mentioned connections to both teams. I acknowledged for him then: "Oh, so, your a winner either way then!" His smiled and shut the trunk on that massive green monster of gasoline consumption and laughed. These old seed farmers make my week.

SEPT moves into their 2nd AC Final with a wall to wall thrashing of GFW.
There was simply nothing GFW could do to change the course of the game yesterday. SEPT had already been impressive in the round robin and yesterday the rested, talented and well prepared Manitoba team made their big move.
Leblanc was a powerhouse for the Thunder.
I think the Cataracts were worn down from the game against Stonyburgh not even 24 hours prior. They had a few strong shifts to start the game...but... it all went to the bottom of the sea less than 10 minutes into the game.
