Pretty impressive. Wade is that the best Bentley roster you've ever seen on paper. The favourites i would think.

I would think it might be a tad too early to declare the A/C favorite just yet, but yes an impressive 31 man roster. Freelancer Andrew Derton usually knows where to go to have a good chance.

For quite a few years already I've been buying & selling the theory that whichever team is hosting the Allan Cup IS the favourite.
It's pretty much the only thing close to solid logic when trying to "rank" SR AAA teams.
The vast amounts of AHL & NHL experience on this Generals roster is bound to jump out at first glance.
And then you might notice almost the average age of this roster is probably around 28ish. That's very young for an Allan Cul team. Especially for the Gens'...who've sent some past teams with average age ballparked around 35ish.
It's about as solid as I ever imagined it could be. And don't kid yourself...I started out with very high expectations.
The coaching staff faces a weekly challenge to juggle talent in/out of the line up. It's especially tricky with the huge list of wingers to choose from.
Fortunately we still have 8+ playoff games to experiment & build chemistry.
It looks good but in sure there's going to be a really strong field of teams here in April.

I looking back, there is a need to recognize the Allan Cup has been taken by sleeper teams multiple times in history, and most probably the future. I am not sure that backing/spouting the "Favourite" team does anything but hurt them by providing too much optimism for a win.
Just saying....

It's not about hype.
It's just pure math...go back to 2004 and work your way up until now...you will find HOST teams winning the Allan Cup about 45% of the time.
I'm really not even a numbers guy but I'm enough of a numbers guy to know 45% loaded onto 1 variable in a formula of 5 other variables...is pretty good odds.
Just sayin.

Yep, next to HorseLake in '05 this is the best AC contending team $$$$$$$ can buy! And by $ I mean big time $$$$$$$$ no questions asked. Any and all profits from hosting will be taking a big hit from the payroll, just ask Lloyd. Or you can listen to Wade, whom I'm sure in all his stupidity will still deny any money envelopes being distributed.

The last time we heard from Morris, he was making accusations of a "$1000 per game goalie". What happened with that one, Morris?

What happened Wade was $1000 / game wasn't enough for that crack-head that they thought they had.
Best definition of Wade I've heard from another "Insider" : "It makes me kind of sad for you. It's like the 30 year old puck bunny with out the tail. So to speak."

Comes down to the same thing I said all along... My information checks out. Yours..."morris"....doesn't. The guy you claimed was getting a HUGE $$$ deal from Bentley ended up playing 2 games and was never heard from again. I think you got all excited when you saw how good Penner was and you made up your mind anyone that good...had to getting paid...and then you made up a number in your own mind and threw it at the wall to see if it might stick. And now? You expect people to believe he would rather sit at home and take a pass on 1000/game??!! I'm no Sherlock Holmes but you can understand if I LMFAO at you. Good lord, man. Guys pack up and go play in Siberia for less than the amounts you were tossing around. My advice: With each additional nipping at the whiskey bottle... you should trust half of what you believed the previous drink. Its a good rule to follow... each weekend you spend out at the barn with Suttsy Or better yet...just worry about your own team.
