Today...via Twitter...I was able to confirm that (at least for now) the 2014 Powell River Regals will be heading to Alberta on April 3rd.
There was some scuttlebutt the last few days that they were having trouble finding enough players to commit...but...I was assured they'll be making the trip with what was described as a "solid" & "competitive" team.

Regal coach Rick Hopper says has committed group of players that will be traveling to Alberta for the McKenzie Cup. Many of the players are from last seasons squad that lost to Fort St. John in overtime in game five of that best of five series. Regals are in a retooling stage but everyone connected to the team feels that the we be competitive. I will be making the trip and hope meet with Wade.

Thanks for the details, regal.
I'm sure your already aware...it's a long, long way from a garuntee Bentley Generals will end up as the opponent for Powell River in the Mac Cup. We still have to wait to see who our Alberta Finals opponent will be...and then...I expect a long & difficult series with either Fort Sask or Innisfail.
If it ends up The Army does advance...I'll be around for the Mac Cup.
