I hope this years Allan Cup will pay tribute to the Humboldt Broncos Jr A club and to all the lives lost. My heart bleeds for the people of Saskatchewan who have put all their efforts into planning this event. ❤️To you all.

If it were decided that the 2018 Allan Cup Tournament should be cancelled, I would understand.
This is the darkest hour I’ve ever experienced inside our hockey circle. I don’t even directly know any of the victims...but...certainly people I know were closely connected to the Broncos Coaching Staff as well as some of their players.
The Red Wings organization has over 25 SK born & bred players listed on their roster. Many of these fellas’ are from towns just miles from the accident scene & at least one is actually from Humboldt.
Let’s be extra strong & caring as we figure out how to move ahead.❤️

From our Facebook page...
Our hearts are hurting for the Humboldt Broncos, the community of Humboldt, and all of the many friends and family affected by the tragic events that took place last night. This tragedy hits home for many of our players. With our small community being on the national stage this coming week with the Allan Cup, with heavy hearts, we will do everything in our power to pay the utmost respect throughout the week to everyone affected.
With our play, we hope we can shine some light throughout Saskatchewan at this much needed time.
During our Opening Ceremonies, as six teams from across Canada stand on the ice, along with everyone in the arena, we will honour and remember those who have been lost.
Nothing in Canada brings communities and our Nation together quite like hockey. Once again, we will come together with #prayersforhumboldt
With love, compassion, and respect, Allan Cup 2018 and the Rosetown Redwings
