Why would teams register to play AAA and then show up with just two lines. What kind of commitement is that. They don't even have to play X number of games. Just have to be able to play one week-end. Pentiction has stated they have all these big signings. Not at the savage yet. Go to Kenora with 12 guys.
If I was the Flyers organization I would be alittle choked. Having to pay all these expenses and get this kind of turn out. Plus it isn't going to help them prepare for Alberta. As a fan why go or want to go and see blow outs.
No impressed.

Maybe the poll should ask: How many goals will the Penticton Vees give up in this tournament?
The thing that really pisses me off about this is...some fly-by-nighter put a quarter in a vending machine and got a hockey team.
Now...he/she/they pirated a historical and highly respected name from a previous champion in Penticton ( a hockey mecca) and...sadly...that name is getting disgraced this winter, a half century after 'The REAL Vees' earned their spot in history.
It doesn't seem right.
Any-hoo...I think this weekend could tell a totally different story if the Prince George Mohawks do get the infusion of talent they're saying they will get win the elimination round rolls around.
I still see FSJ advancing...but not easily. The 2011 Savage Cup will produce a tight game...eventually...I hope.

Prince George wins easily over the Vees 9-0 last night. Both teams very short benched. The Mohawks played with a little more energy than the previous night but neither team even close to the caliber of the Flyers. Unless Prine George can really turn it on the rest of this tourney is going to be very boring to watch. Looks like it should be a blow out again tonight. Flyers vs Vees at 8pm

Just announced-Penticton Vee's disqualified from the Savage Cup. Will now be a 2 game series between the Flyers and the Mohawks. Total goals for between the two games takes the cup. Penticton used an ineligible player in last nights game.
