Flyers were lucky to be around long enough. Constant stream to the penalty box for the first 30 minutes...just playing with fire.
A couple of the Flyers goals went in at a combined 9 mph (1 was a nice deflection). After it was 3-2 Galenza looked like he was fighting it a bit.
Pretty much at the 30 minute mark, its like the switched flipped and both teams engaged in hard hitting hockey.
When the Flyers were in striking distance, their PK actually got better.
Loney (77) at one point will take a dumb penalty that will actually cost them the game, he almost did tonight.
It was enjoyable to see some 5 on 5 hockey and take the Christmas lights off the score clock.
There was at one time actually some flow.
It looked as if both teams were starting to slow down in the 3rd as the vast majority of players from both teams were starting to sit on the bench between shifts. I'm pretty sure Bentley was only using 4 or 5 D the vast majority of the game, probably 5 and when they went a little deeper in the depth chart, the quality dropped off quite a bit.
The two OT penalties gassed the Generals PK'ers (Haarstad didn't return after probably what should have been a boarding penalty, so this didn't help). There might have been another High Stick to Bentley just before the goal as well. So they could have very well been down 5 on 3.
If the Flyers stay out of the box the series will go the full 5. If they don't all this game did was give Bentley another 1500 paid attendees and a big 50/50 pot.
There might be too much on the line tomorrow night to spend it killing penalties. No one wants to be 1 game away from elimination.
Hopefully most of the game is played 5 on 5. If it is, it maybe some of the most entertaining hockey on any given night.

Something to consider when looking at the shot count...Bentley's shots go in multiples of 3...

Something to consider when looking at the shot count...Bentley's shots go in multiples of 3... Nope. That was about as honest as it gets. 40 SOG's and another bushel full of missed nets/cross bars and goalposts. I believe in your heart of hearts....you know that. Maybe not? Maybe you actually think the shot count was triple inaccuate. I'd say you can bank on another 40 or maybe 50 tonight.

Could be true but I think you can count the Flyers not needing 40 shots to beat the Generals! Once the Flyers got those 1st couple of goals the Generals starter was going to start playing head games with himself and as for there going with Ramstead well that would another step backwards!

You are infatuated with the idea of winning this series all on a goalie<>goalie battle. I can see why. You have an excellent 'tender. I am confident there is a lot more to this series than just goaltending and these are the things which will shine through for The Army. Time to head down for the Tailgate party!!! ;D

Your right Wade, there a lot more to it then the tender. But that is an important piece to the puzzle that I'm not sure the Generals have!
