For the teams & people who actually take these things seriously...today is the last checkpoint to add players to SR AAA rosters.
I expect at least 2-3 additions to happen here in Alberta. Teams have open cards & will attempt to fill those spots with players who can help their respective causes. Hope to be able to drop some specific names in the next 24HRS.

Appears that there are a lack of guys in the Hamilton area.
Stoney Creek beat everyone with early recruiting. Brantford has been adding guys from outside the area to compensate.
For Dundas to continue to run lineups out with 13 skaters tonight is embarassing. I really wish it took more effort to reach the playoffs to avoid this as the fans get cheated.

Not tonight but looks like Brantford outplayed Dundas based on shots but Mole stole the game as he's capable of.
How did Peroff look in his Blast debut? I was impressed with his solid 2 way game back in his OHL days.

The game program I grabbed going into Innisfail Arena listed 31 players for Bentley and although I didn't count the total on the Innisfail side, it appeared to be about the same.
Even with the oil patch being what it is...Alberta teams (most of them anyways) don't seem to have much trouble finding players.
I don't want to say I told you so...but...the ACH expansion created a lot of suction, it seems.

I think most of the teams in ACH have added players since the cut down date, but maybe just not right at the final signing deadline. My team may have been somewhat perplexed as to how many to drop or add. In the past they have been subject to some rather harsh even if unwarranted criticism for working too hard at building a competitive lineup. So I really don't know, but perhaps they may have wanted to be overly sensitive this time around, not wanting to re-offend those few critics who voiced their envious objection. I didn't notice you there sniper at Friday night's game, but I wasn't sure. Perhaps you miss quite a few games, but regardless it's unfortunate this had to be one of them. In the latter portions of this game fans were moved to leap from their seats and break out into excited standing applause on several occasions. It's generally not my style to talk 'tit for tat' about other teams performances because generally I don't think it's really all that productive. I really don't think you should feel embarrassed though. Perhaps if you're a little disappointed, that I could understand. Last year I know you had expectations of a first place finish which I also know you felt was stolen from you by the unfairness of an unbalanced schedule, despite some other plausible reasons which I tried to point out at the time. I know this season, I have heard and read recently that eyes have been set on a first place finish. It is still not mathematically impossible. Keep the faith my friend, it can still be done. So when you were playing an important game as you were Friday night, with a pretty full bench against a 5th place team that decides to run a lineup of something less than 3 full lines, and after 60 minutes regulation + 5 minutes overtime + a 4 goal opportunity shoot-out, and after all that time you come up with but one goal in a losing cause, I understand you might be disappointed, but you have a good team there. Sure, they only got one point for the loss instead of three, but like I said already, it can still be mathematically done, and you should not feel embarrassed or cheated. You should celebrate the opportunity still at hand.

P.S. I have since had a browse at your game sheet which seems to indicate both you and Inny had about 20 players dressed including 2 goalies each. So I'm assuming the 31 players in the program is referring to total roster which is something quite deferent, and excluding any AP's that might be hanging around somewhere. If that's the case, then that would seem about normal(?).
Likewise, five of the six teams team in ACH have between 28-30 man rosters and one team (the new entry Thorold) has 25. All about normal for us. Perhaps even a couple of players higher this year for Brantford than what they had consciously decided to go with the last couple of seasons rather than maximize their allowable number at the February deadline.

Munzie from looking at the boxscore it looked like Brantford outplayed Dundas with shots 2 to 1. Mole seems to step up after ordinary regular seasons come playoffs maybe this was it as it appears he played a strong game.

The entire idea behind expanding rosters to 28 (from 25) players and also creating a field of affiliation options for SR AAA teams to harvest from is, actually, to help prevent sits time where teams are playing with 13 skaters.
It's hard to find 18-20 guys who can all make a 100% commitment. The theory is...if operators can supplement their teams with an additional 5-10 guys who can each play part time...the end product SHOULD feature full line ups on each side.
It's horrible to have a big name team representing the brand with weak/short line ups.
Don't get me wrong...we've all seen examples of 13-15 man benches put up some very strong efforts...but...it's not something anyone should ever expect to do consistently.
