Has anyone heard if the league is only going to be the four AAA teams this season? The league has not updated its website in over a month and a half.
The league still list contacts for a team that didn't even play last season.
Any word on Amqui or Meramcook playing in the league but not completing for the Allan Cup?

at the league meeting, 6 teams were there. Bouctouche, Lamèque, Elsipogtog and Dalhousie. 2 new teams, Capuscale Que will take over for Amqui and new team in Montague PEI. At the meeting the 4 returning teams are in the AAA, but 1 or 2 might drop out of the AAA. Memramcook still have not decided 100% if in or out.

Amqui and Memramcook are not on the league website any longer.
The league only added the Montague Marines as a member from what is now posted on the website. The schedule is not complete but they are only listed for 1 game so far(other teams are scheduled for 2 or 3 games each ).
The other 4 Senior AAA teams make up the rest of the league.
Nothing is listed on Montague's facebook page or on the league website if the team is Senior AAA or not.
With them being from PEI would that throw a monkey wrench in the Allan Cup qualifying for Grand Falls-Windsor? I am thinking they (Montague) could not qualify by winning the league playoffs as that is the de facto NB Senior AAA provincial championship (and not under Hockey New Brunswick jurisdiction) and they would have to meet Grand Falls-Windsor to qualify for the Allan Cup spot as they would be the only other Senior AAA team in the region. But then again wouldn't it be a moot point as they didn't declare by the September 1st deadline?

My guess is regardless of how they finish in the NESHL they would have to play the Grand Falls-Windsor Cataracts in the Atlantic Region Allan Cup Qualifier in a best two of three series. They would have to be under the sanction of Hockey PEI not Hockey NB. This sounds like it should be the same scenario that has the Rosetown Red Wings playing in the Rathgaber Cup as Saskatchewan's representative against the Manitoba AAA champion for a spot in the Allan Cup even though the league is based in Alberta. Hockey New Brunswick is the host branch not the Atlantic Region. But figuring the deadline was August 31st to file as Senior AAA for the Allan Cup who knows. Doug Mathieson would be the best one to answer this question.

I could easily see these deadlines not being enforced...for the greater good or not.

So is it too late for the Toronto Maple Leafs to declare?

So is the team the Montague Marines or the PEI Stallions? The NESHL list them as the Montague Marines on the standings page of their website (which is the only mention of a nickname I can find on the site) and the Guardian's article list them as the PEI Stallions.

Turns out the newspaper could not even get the name correct. I was in contact with the team and it is the Montague Stallions

When do the rosters have to be submitted for the tournament? After looking at the rosters for this league compared to the rosters of other teams in the country, Bouctouche wouldn't stand a chance against most teams. I know when Lameque went to NFLD they picked up players, is that the same for this?

After speaking with the manager of Lameque I was informed there is a draft tonight between Lameque and Bouctouche. Both teams are able to select 9 players plus 1 goalie from the NESHL and the Roger Lizotte Senior Hockey League. Is this 9 players plus 1 goalie standard across the country or something NB is trying to do to compete at the Allan Cup?
