THANKS FOR THE VIDEO WADE. NO ONE ON YOUR TWITTER FEED THOUGHT IT WAS A BAD HIT. IS EVERYONE ON THERE FROM THE GENERALS? I THOUGHT IT WAS A PREDATORY DELIBERATE HIT. NO LETTING UP THERE. AND TO THE HEAD. REMINDED ME OF A SCOTT STEVENS HIT. ANY WORD ANYWHERE ON 94S CONDITION? ANY WORD ANYWHERE ON 79S POSSIBLE SUSPENSION? GUESSING IF IT HAPPENS (AND I PERSONALLY HOPE ITS REALLY LONG) IT WILL BE BEFORE TOMORROWS GAME? My Twitter following has grown into a surprisingly balanced demographic of people who hate me, people who hate The Army, porn-bots and 2-300 Gens' fans. Even the porn-bots have an opinion on this hit. Nobody (including me) feel it was an utterly clean hit. I get why it's a problem. I don't have a problem with a suspension. But give the guy a fair trial. Respect him as a player. If he made a error in judgement...he should be disciplined...not deported. And Stonyburgh should be ashamed of how they allowed it to go to main media presented as a non-hockey attack.

Watched the video on Sportsnet on TV this morning while eating my oatmeal before heading out to work. Big hit...no doubt...too much elbow by Sheen. Here is my take...Smyth coming across the slot has to expect something. I would say it is similar to the Eric Lindros/Scott Stevens hit that wrecked his career when the Big E had a tendency to come across the blue line..head down. The difference being that this was after scoring a goal and Scotty Stevens didn't use any elbow...if i remember correctly. That is a good hit by Sheen if Smyth ends up carrying the puck another 2-3 feet and there is no elbow. With that being said...in today's game and considering the elbow and Smyth being "defenseless"...it has suspension written all over it...and a long one at that. Compounding the issue is that it sounds like Sheen is a repeat offender.

Stony decided to try and spin it that way...but...Sheens' precious suspys' were for fighting minister the last 10 min of a game. His only prior hearing was for a knee on knee hit last year. No history of headshots. And there is nothing in this video clearly showing a headshot. From the angle this video is done...you can't see any elbow. But you CAN see that he does NOT jump to make the hit

Predatory hit for sure. Watch the video on CBC news. Definitely going after Smyth's head intentionally. Sheen is a total coward and it is players like him that ruin senior hockey as the skilled players don't want to risk their health playing for the love of the game knowing there are idiots like this running around with their sticks and elbows up. Forget about a suspension, Sheen needs to hang up the blades or go play rec hockey or something. #bonehead

No middle ground. Short would be a game or two, long, you decide.

The precedent for this hit would/should be 2-3 games. But...I think...due to the fact it was Ryan Smyth...its went viral...causing intense scrutiny on the league....I expect CHL President will hand out an "indefinite suspension". And leave it as such. The wind has turned very wicked out here the past 48HRS. The Army will pull up their collar and duck down tight as we walk into a storm tonight in Stony Plain.

Wade you're turning into a joke. You cannot possibly defend this to the degree you are. Go on twitter it's easily 95% in favour of a dirty head hunter type of attack. Sheen DOES have a prior history and your team pushed for Big Snake to be suspended from the league. Funny it was Sheen who started that as well. Every well respected hockey player and analyst has seen the it and called it dirty. Yet you stand on your soapbox and defend the POS because he's a gen. Sheen's stick is nowhere near the puck area he wasn't even attempting to do anything except take out another player. Crawl back into your hole and join Sheen. also why not ask Bombgartner about the broken neck. happened curtesy of a bentley player But you must have forgotten about that too. also Innisfail hallway fight instigated by general player.

Mark my words Ryan Smyth will quit after this year. Maybe he comes back to finish this one out as he is a good character guy. But the man has a family and do you think he is going to continue to risk his health to play senior hockey when plugs like Sheen are running around head hunting? Not a chance. I wonder who brings more fans to the rink- skill players like Smyth or the Sheens of the world. But keep defending your fourth line nobody plug if you think he is the type of player that is good for hockey.

Some of the for multiple issues. Your not even remotely objective.

Notice how Wade won't answer about the other issues involving the gens.
only says they are lies. broken neck suffered at hands of a gen =TRUE also of note Wade didn't think a penalty should have been called Sheen involved in Big Snake altercation = TRUE Mapping given longest suspension in Innisfail altercation= TRUE Sheen suspended for illegal hit last season =TRUE Sheen headhunting Smyth =TRUE
But go ahead Wade keep pretending these things never happened. This is where you lose what little credibility you had. Not at all objective You are blatantly a homer and lie whenever it suits the gens

I've seen it pop up a few times now. Also, Smyth did slew foot Robinson of Innisfail in round one and broke his ankle in a few places. Playoffs in this league bring out different beasts.
