Well, it’s summer and usually we start to chat about this.
So who’s got any lines on what’s happening next season?
There’s been meetings about reviving the Chinook league out west, with the two Eagles, Carstairs, Brooks and a team from the Interior BC.
That’s all the AAA news I’ve got going on.
AA need, the Ranchland debacle seems to be dragging on, nothing new other than what’s been previously mentioned. But it'll be interesting to see what happens.

Looks like 4 or 5 teams a go in Ontario

CHL is definitely going to go ahead, sounds like that has been a revival in the making since early January. RHL has a long way to go to get its status back, likely no league there unless they can shore things up. Could see the CHL swelling to a decent league if that is the case with RHL.
Highly doubt an interior team would come into the league unless there was more BC interest. Travel would be too far for that team. I hear Powell River in BC is going to declare AAA.
It all depends on the HC debacle and when they announce a go or no go. Alberta has delayed its AAA status declaration until at least November

There is an Invermere (3ish hours from Calgary) senior team page on Facebook and has already begun recruiting players and sponsors. So I wouldn’t count them out.
Carstairs has done the same online with player announcements, etc.
Will be exciting to see CHL back.

Wade will not like this as Ontario looks to be expanding Senior AAA again. He feels Senior and the Allan Cup are dead without Bentley or Lanombe. I’m hopeful Alberta will ice a few teams in AAA
Well Wade, it’s looking like 5 teams will register for AAA in Ontario.
Dundas Hamilton Brantford Oakville Caledon
Possibly a sixth team will round out our league.

I have my doubts about that Ontario list. Oakville would be a nice location for a team though.

Its still a long commute all the way to Stony, especially in the winter having to go through mountains. However with another interior team or two, it could be a nice set up for 2 divisions. CHL would like to get up to 6 teams likely once HA approves the league. I don't see 6 teams being possible at this stage unless a AA team or two want to take the jump. little pre-mature to do that imo as nothing has been made official yet with the CHL. However looks like the two eagles will be going AAA.

I have my doubts about that Ontario list. Oakville would be a nice location for a team though. Last years Flamborough Ducks team was made up with many players East of Hamilton. The Flamborough team, with some former Whitby Dunlops, will play out of Oakville.

Looks like the Chinook is a go with Innisfail, Stony Plain and Carstairs jumping in. Rumours are a few Ranchland teams are looking at joining as well. We’ll have to see how everyone declares and scheduling. But it will be nice to see the rebirth of a storied league back in western Canada.

From my understanding it will function just like the old system where you can declare AA or AAA. Might as well get a few more teams in, wouldn't hurt at all. Just hope the RHL teams that may be interested shore things up with HA first.

In New Brunswick, it looks like the former North East Senior Hockey League will be back this season as the Beauséjour Senior Hockey League.
The league will feature six teams from Bouctouche, Cap-Pelé, Elsipogtog, Miramichi, Doaktown (Miramichi Valley) and Springhill, Nova Scotia.
The league will start in October and play a 20-game schedule. I'm not sure if any will be registering as AAA but it is nice to see senior hockey back in those regions.
The Circuit Régionale de Hockey (In the Edmundston and Northwest part of the province) which features the Haut-Madawaska Panthers who have competed at the Allan Cup in the past, will also be back in 2022-2023 with six teams. Haut-Madawaska lost in the finals to St. Quentin in six games last season, with Game 6 going to overtime.
Last season, the newly formed Southern Senor Hockey League (Saint John region) operated for the first time and featured four teams. That league appears to be a go again this year, but there are no indications if any teams will register as AAA.

Such a shame so few are AAA. Ontario AA leagues are thriving using a point system for player value. Smaller towns.

Would be cool to see the two league champions get a shot to go for the AC following provincials. Would give HC a reason to keep it around this year with better national representation

Invermere looks like a no go as someone involved with the team posted that the CHL was a go but without them about two months ago (July 10th) citing travel distance.
