Its ok Snoopy, dont let that bother you. I hope Norwood hasnt given up yet. They can score...they just have to keep the puck out of the net is where their trouble is. Whitby is a strong team but this year ,as was last , you'll see the finals go 7 games for sure no matter whos in it. The semis should be interesting as well. Who knows what the north/south series will be like...thats a lot of travel this spring!! With the goalies the MLH has signed, whoever makes it to the cup will have a decent chance anyway.

Dundas just got 10% better with Jooris jumping back in. Brantford got 19' taller with the activation of Ryan Stephenson, Gerald Moriarity and Brian Muir...and a whole bunch nastier!

So Stephenson gets a match penalty in Komokas last regular season game. Gets a 4 game suspension, sees Komoka trailing Petrolia 3-0 in the 1st round and heads back to Brantford? Pretty good deal for him.

GOOD GAME IN THE FORT TODAY. Fort had it going and then wore out the ice to the sin bin. Too bad a good team. Will be an interesting series between Horse Lake and Bently. Should pack the houses if anyone knows what's good about hockey!!!

Check your stats. The pp's were so one sided it was embarrassing. HL battled through Ft Sask & the reffing on this one. Too bad cause he tried his best to ruin a great hockey game.

So Stephenson was signed by the Blast earlier in the season, played 1 game for them & then released later in the season. How is Brantford able to re-sign him? I thought any signings now have to be players who have not played under the OHF banner?

January 10th cut down from 35 to 25 cards. Players can be signed (or re-signed to their team again) to a team that were 'released' from another team up to February 10th which is the final roster date.
Usually, this is where teams find players from the East coast, UHL, Colonial leagues etc that were released and come back home from the states.
Only Players can be signed who have "not' played under the OHF banner...i have no clue about that one.

WOAA teams can't affiliate with OHA teams Curtis. Since it is not under the Hockey Canada banner it is considered an outlaw league.

In fact, the WOAA is not viewed as an outlaw league. A player can be signed by a WOAA card and still sign a HC card, but according to WOAA rules he makes himself ineligible for future WOAA play. It seems because of the history and that they also do minor hockey in their area that WOAA is actually treated with more open arms in OHA/HC relations than the GMHL at the Jr. level.
NOW the playoff pairings are set and where the first game of the Dundas/Brantford series may be decided on Friday. Brantford must win in regulation and Dundas must then lose in regulation on Sunday in Norwood for Game 1 of series to be in Brantford.
Unofficially.. The Whitby/Orillia series first 3 games will look like Wed Feb 29 Whitby Start 7:45/8:00 pm ? Friday March 2 Orilla Start 7:45 pm Sat March 3 Whitby start 6:30 pm
I suspect we will be able to confirm the playoff schedule by Wednesday.
