Sniper 81...trying to find out myself where Jankus is...heard he was initially injured but not so sure that is the case right now. If I hear anything concrete, will post accordingly. It has been crickets re: Pottruff as well.

Munzie, I don't know what to tell ya bud...I guess I just know stuff you do not, and YOU choose not to ACCEPT IT...that is fine. I know how Mr Ham operates, and to think nobody there gets paid is silly. Donnie has a lot of veteran pros in his organization, especially last year... He swears up and down NONE got paid. OK, I take him at his word...now COMPENSATION (and travel allowances, etc) are a different story, and players can be taken care of in different ways...I will leave it at that. I DO agree, however, that the best time to put together a vet team is when you HOST the AC, because guys do literally come out of the woodwork to want to play for you. Last year's tournament was a lot of fun to experience, and the McCoys were as good a Sr team as I have seen in the 'modern' era. Do not think any of today's teams are quite as good as what we saw in my heyday as a 'yute" late 70's early 80's, but look at the pedigree...dang, some LONG resumes.
I don't know what you are trying to get at here, but I am just telling you what went on back in the day. You seem to not want to hear about...oh well

Dundas has almost always had NHL Alumni. And the ratio of good<>bad results is weighted on the bad side, for sure.
I think The Army might admit to a similar experience & I think it's really weird how some people have such an infatuation with guys who "used to" play in the show.
Consider: Prolly about a dozen-ish guys with NHL time playing SR right meow. Maybe 2 of them would actually be among the top SR PLAYERS if we ranked them.
Just sayin.

You seem to not want to hear about...oh well Jimc, it's not a matter of what you need to tell me. For the record "on this subject"Unless I am mistaken, I do not recollect saying anything on here about what I think I may or may not know. I have purposely kept to myself anything that I know or might think I know. I have not for example, said anywhere on one post that there is "no way" and then on some other post admit that I do not know. That would be you, not me. I have not said anything about what has gone on in Brantford in the past, or last year, or today, other than for recall purposes to 'quote' you on what you have said. I have not used as a yardstick that because I know how Mr. Ham of Brantford operates (or for that matter any other individule) that because I know what happened in case 'X' that I therefore know what must have happened in case 'Y'. That would be you , not me. I have not personally said anything about what I know or think I know about what has gone on in Dundas in the past, or last year, or today. Again that would be you, not me. You are welcome to go back and read for yourself. It is possible this subject has been touched upon in more that one thread, but it is all there. I will humbly stand corrected, if warranted. As to your saying that you "don't know what I have been trying to get at here". I can only say that I thought and believe I made myself very clear from the beginning. Especially on a subject like the one that has been at the center of this discussion and where individuals names are been thrown around, then I believe that it is inappropriate disservice to take loose license and state on here in writing with certainty something that you do not know as fact.

In the middle of an awkward Allan Cup after party on the night when The Army lost 2008 Allan Cup to Brantford, the leader of the 08' Champs tracked me down to have a couple drinks & chat.
In that conversation he described his team as a "paid team". I'm not sure what he was expecting me to say but I asked him how much per game the guys were getting.
He told me: $25.
True story. Twenty fricking five bucks.
I bought the next round.
