So, Weslosky has in fact taken the holiday trip to Mexico the way it was rumoured he would do. And it doesn't matter in game one. Stony out-shot HL just like the Gens' had done but the Chiefs continue to bite with venom on their powerplay and not do much damage beyond that. Its so hard to mitigate what happens with special teams these days.

Speaking of special teams. Eagles only scored 1 power play goal with all their opportunities. That coming on a 2:00 5-3. Horse Lake killed off a lot of penalties in game 1.

According to twitter account of Craig Goebel Stony Plain awarded win lastnight due to Horse Lake dressing one too many imports. So Stony Plain lead series 1-0....

Yes. Thats correct.
Game one was overturned because Horse Lake dressed one too many import players.
Tragic, embarassing & very unfortunate to say the least. And it all happens here in Allan Cup Hockey. Nowhere else would you ever see something so bushleague and shady as this.

Just look to the Chinook League and LBK who played many games with an illegal roster, including playoff games against SLA but because the Saskatchewan Hockey Assoc doesnt demand accountability for senior teams teams till Feb 10th no proven roster with AP's / Imports could be proven till after the fact.

My understanding was LBK was deemed to be in NON-COMPLIANCE in at least 9 games this season...but as you said...because it wasn't caught until well after the games had been played...there wasn't any time to do anything about it.
