In correct... the year the Cataracts went to their 1st Allan Cup. All players came from our league....we did make the Semi Finals....but we were well out matched by the SEPT.

NFLD constantly buy ACH players, Wade...not the other way around. Hulit and Bragg were not signed away from NFLD...they returned home...and one of them went back for the money, and the other jumped ship to a different ACH team for more money...Fergus is also a local ON boy...paid to be a mercenary out East for several years. you are pointing the finger int he wrong direction...you even mention 2 of your best players in AC play being bought by the Cataracts... Hello? yes...poor NFLD....LMFAO FYI...jimc.....Bragg is from Newfoundland...and players came here for various reason....The skill level is good...the fans use to fill the rinks and of course the money....but that's senior hockey here on the ROCK... we HAD one of the best senior hockey leagues in the country.

The Cataracts will be off the ice for close to 6 weeks before there 1st game of the finals on March 4th...hopefully they don't come out to rusty. They need to be playing right up to the weekend prior to the Allan Cup, to stay in game shape.

I agree..we have been very successful in recruiting players that are there to win and have had a team first attitude. Obviously they like there money...as anyone would...but we also sign players who are there to win...there are some good players in our league who would not be a fit on our team..therefore they won't be added...chemistry is a big thing in sports and hockey in particular. That is what I see in the Generals of Lacombe.

Fair assessment. Looking forward to the 2017 edition..here's hoping the 4th time is the charm for us. I'm hoping all the top teams are there..as it makes for a great week of hockey.

Hey Wade...wondering on your thoughts on Sloan. I think he will be little step above Alex Henry that we had last year. Just wondering g were his stamina will be..I guess it would depend on where the Cataracts finish in the round Robin. To many back to back games could be a down fall for him..and he may show up in great shape. Henry was good...but he looked a bit winded in the semi final game.

I am not about to confirm any of these names.. but i don't think Ryder was interested. Just remembered my password: Not only can i not confirm these players posted above...Other than the two guys from Clarenville, Rosie and Mcrae, i don't know who the Cataracts have spoken to. But i would suspect the team will be as strong or stronger than in 2016.

The Cataracts have advanced to the Central West Finals defeating the Gander Flyer's 4 games to 1. They will play the winner of the Clarenville Caribou's and Corner Brook Royals. Royals lead the series 3-2 with the next to games in Corner Brook.

The Cataracts may bring 4-5 AP only....we are quite pleased with the team we have assembled and look forward to playing in front of our home Province next month.

Don't worry LOTW this team won't beat Bently anyways. They won't win a game if they don't bring someone to coach them. They guy they have behind the bench now is not a coach for this level. Care to tell me who coached them in there Allan Cup win 2 yrs ago?

Wade this is 3 yrs and counting you have been at this... give it a rest by... I can tell you one thing.. i have spoken to people that are putting off the AC in 2015... and i will tell you this must.. from my experience in Lloydminster... this AC in 2015 will be a spectacular show.
Not to say anything against the organizers of the 2012 AC...the volunteers that I dealt with personally were great... i just thought it could or would have been more of a wow factor in the marketing area... which from all indication that i got from the organizing commitee in Clarenville... i got a WOW from what I HERE they are planning
