now... i thought i was dealing with a level headed person.....but as weeze says in NEWFIE LAND... i tinks i's talkin to an ARSEHOLE....get a life wade....ever since i've been here you have done nothing but attack me and newfoundland personally...stick to hockey talk and you might have some people take you serious.....or maybe some poor feller took your job from ya...when he left the bay by.

thanks munzie....i too thought it was a little over the top.. but i do understand why.... and as i said before.... i agree about all rules being the same for everyone....but thats not the choice of the Cataracts.. it may very well be HNL idea... or Hockey Canada's idea...but it's not fair for Wade to say that " these are the rules the NEWFIES folllow"....Again i understand his fight and commend him for it....and if i was a voting member of hockey canada... i too would agree that all rules applied would be the same for every region.

I ask this question Wade... as i'm not sure of the anwser....But when Clarenville went to the AC the first year....was there the same arguement then... as it is now?..... or is it just because they won...Again it's just a question, as i am new to this site...and the AC.

if i'm not mistaken......and this is off topic here...but did the Bentley generals want to come to Newfoundland for some exibition games? What was the reason for wanting to come all the way here for Exibition?

IF and on IF (WE) the NEWFOUNDLAND team cards 19 ADDITIONAL players...what make you think we will bring all those players....I will go out on a limb and say you will see a maximum of 25 players at the AC from the Atlantic Canada Reps. including goaltenders. And i would also suspect that the current Atlantic reps will add maybe and i say maybe 3-4 players.... if all current players are able to attend...IE work, school and family situations.

So....would you think the AC is a few steps higher that our league...like i said... the only AC i've seen is on TSN.... your generals team are an awesome team from what i saw... they just ran into a hot Jason Churchill.
The AC has never ever been on our radar until we seen how well Clarenville did last season.

Hey Wade I am not too familular with how things work in Alberta...nor at the Allan Cup.... like I said earlier...we are new to this...Are we asking to bend rules. NO....these rules are set by Hockey Canada I presume?
As for the Newfie Comments...thats just goes to show your ignorance...so i'll leave that alone for now. Look forward to seeing how our team will do at the Allan cup.... we might get blown out every game... or we might even put up a good fight. I would say the AC hockey is a few steps above our league..

Hey Hockey Pops Just a little tidbit for you... we have a 5 team provincial league here....that draws about an average of 8 to 900 fans a game for our regular season. the Herder was played last season at Mile One in st john's for the east teams..and we the cataracts played our games in our home rink which has a maximum or 1247 people including standing.
The cost to run a senior team here is expensive... due to travel hotel meals equipment etc...as i'm sure you guys find the same. Thats not the arguement... the arguement is saying we get a free pass...which is not the case.. i assume it's just different ways to qualfy...And to truly make it a national tournament.. i believe you need ALL regions to take part...over the last number of years it's been mainly western canadian teams at the Allan cup right?
If the next 5 allan cups were on the east coast...would you still have all these teams in the west vieing for the AC? this is just a question...as i do not know the anwser.
Again we look forward to going to Lloydminster SK. and Hope we will be welcomed there by all teams

I hope Quebec is back in the fold again... Sure. Provided they're open to buying into the majority rules....as opposed to the rules the Newfies follow. Man you sure have an issue with NEWFOUNDLAND (NOT NEWFIE)....Drop down sometime....maybe you will have a different view

sorry for hitting a nerve wade...but we here in NEWFIE as you like to call it are the only league in atlantic Canada...so who are we suppose to play?....Newfoundland wins one Allan cup in the last 25 years....and now they are being lambasted for following the rules set out for them.
As i said earlier...we look forward to the experience in April...as this will be our first taste of this high caliper of hockey
