I am a little confused as to the Dundas fans ripping into Moriarity, who was a massive fan fave when he played in Valleytown. Man, I know as a Hornets fan, I was extremely envious of the McCoys having both Moriarity and Modopolous.

Tom, both Hockey Canada and the OHA consider the WOAA an outlaw league, and have introduced sanctions against towns/arenas who host these teams...it is bullshit.

The Hornets and Hawks long co-existed at Shade St. Unfortunately, the Friday ice is now Travel (Midget, maybe) ice and the city has refused to make it available as CMH now have some seniority.
Munzie, thanks but no thanks...It used to be a real passion of mine, but that died years ago, sadly.
Bill, between the Cowboys and Habs this year, that's a full time job!!!

The OHA has a hard-on for the WOAA...they have since its inception, and have gone out of their way to piss all over it, and even sanction towns/rinks where these teams compete. Typical Brent Ladds midget power trip.

games in Hespeler and on Sunday evening = fail. Sorry, but that's just cheesy for Sr. AAA hockey.

Hwypig...did not know that about concessions...then the city would have no reason at all to grant preferential ice time to a Sr team...that, IMO, would work against a Sr team, as they have no 'seniority' as it were, in terms of claims on ice time.
Bill, if they are not plying at Shade St, then it is a travesty and a joke...no other pad in the city makes any kind of sense for that rand of hockey. Hornets playing in Preston back in 1999 was horrific.
And as far as I remember, players are NOT free agents at the end of each year...their old teams own their rights until they either release them or do not re-sign them past Jan of the following year, IIRC.

SHA has been staunch with favortism towards the Border Queens for years. But, apparently, they have switched to Balgonie. Ridiculous, absurd, insane, call it what you want. SHA is a joke so Balgonie could conceivably not have to win a game this ear to advance to the AC That's absolutely criminally idiotic.

And I have to just add one more thing...even though its so painfully obvious to everyone.... What level of ludicrous, low end, lunk-headed idiocy have we sunk to....when the "criteria" enables a team which LOSES a Provincial Series to advance to a National Championship (supposedly) Come on! Bass Ackwards. Brutal. Bush League. Bullshit. um......the Memorial Cup? But yeah, this bit of stupidity pretty much takes the cake...Lloyd should be sitting home in the first round.
