Is SEPT the same organization that used to operate as Ile Des Chens?
They DO have an AC championship.

Tom, every bit of what you say has some truth to it, no question. Truth remains, however, that one club stuck out from the other 5 with a noticeable shortage of players. NO question that had a negative effect. It is a problem not unique to DR, for sure. I remember FAR too many nights when the Hornets would set out for Petrolia on a Friday night with a full bus...but only 9 or 10 of the passengers were actually playing in the game. Hell, GM Matt Beechy had to play a couple times.

is that about what you get for an average Sr game on a Fri night? I've heard this was actually better than what's out there.

Congrats to the underdog Cinderella story. AWESOME!
I have to say, taking nothing away from the 'Bous, if this is the best officiating Sr. Hockey has to offer, or if this is the (sub)standard HC choose to employ, then colour me unimpressed. Let the boys play...that was a comical exhibition of over-managing a game by the stripes today.

rink looked pretty full today...finally.
what is the capacity there...I'm guessing close to 2,000?
That netting along the entire rink really ruined the broadcast on TSN2...HD for WHAT purpose? That's the lamest thing I've ever seen...netting along the sides of a rink...totally bush league. That rink looks like a decent venue?

Curtis, I know many rinks (Chicago for one) started with the black netting, and it looked like you were watching a game form a tugboat. The white netting also had glare issues, but wasn't quite as bad. Any rink with the money to do so has now gone to the 'clear mesh' which is MUCH better live AND on TV.

well, talking smack about ANY team for not playing in April should probably be verboten for fans of an organization with the longest current Cup drought, and who haven't made the playoffs since the lockout!!!!

ron...the caps lock, dude!
you're telling me Donnie can't even find 20 guys to suit up? That's really sad if that's the case. Maybe instead of wasting 3 cards on ex-pros who were never going to show, and cutting a bunch of guys who played early on, you avoid that problem.
Hey, I've seen it first hand...that's the problem with guys getting paid vs playing for the love of the game...guys who want to play, will show up no matter what...guys who only play for the cheque are not always reliable...we had that problem in Cambridge every year.

well, based on the results, it isn't full!
still not a full roster, ron...not even close...every other team brings 25 guys.
NO excuse for not having 20 guys on the sheet each night.

1-3 in their 4 GP, and not a full bench for ONE of those games. EVERY other team had more than a full compliment of players...and Dundas had to travel a lot less distance than the other 3 non-hockey North entrants.
