Anything ever pan out with this? Looking forward to the Ontario Senior League Season. Should be a lot of great signings as the year progresses. Just wanted to throw something out there. Has any team considered trying to sign ex-NHLer Nik Antropov, he has lots of hockey experience and could certainly help some team out. I know he retired from Pro Hockey and is living in Ontario. I heard he turned down a Russian League deal to spend more time with his son who is playing in the OHL. Not sure what the interest level is like but it couldn't hurt to reach out to him?

Even the lower league in Quebec has the two fight rule and fill the stands with their scraps. There is tons of videos online from that league. A lot of the guys that are in the LNAH play some games in that league too to earn some extra coin. So I think it doesn't fall under the HC jurisdiction or something of that nature? What is the league below LNAH called? It's called the LHSAM dropyourgloves.com/Fights/LeagueSeason.aspx?League=79&Season=2016

They forfeited those games when they used illegal players. I remember seeing it in the box scores and wondering how they lost two or three in a row 1-0. Then it all came together.

Isn't there a league lower than LNAH in Quebec that could register as AAA? Seems crazy that every year no team from a hockey mad province like Quebec registers.

Senior AAA News
The dates for this are October 1-3 in Innisfail again. With Rosetown joining the mix officially. The Chinook website is back up to date with more information, including a commissioner change.
Senior AA News
The NCHL lost two teams, Drayton Valley and Tofield, with Big Valley relocating to Eckville, being known as the Eckville Eagles. Sure are a lot of Eagles in senior hockey in AB!
Looks like the Ranchland league remains the same, with no team changes, but searching for a new commissioner.
No information changes on the NPHL website, so can't comment on that.
SaskAlta league site has not been updated either.

I might have spoken to soon, just heard a RUMOUR that there could be a four team Vancouver Island AA League formed this year. There are lots of good players on the Island that could form a AAA team out of that league, if it happens. Can not wait for the season to begin. Oh?! More rumor details please! Intrigued to hear

There are lots of former pros and juniors in that area also a large hockey academy. But there also is lots of junior teams and a Major junior team. I think senior hockey is more of a small to medium size town thing. It would be great to see more senior teams in the province but it is costly. Can not see it happening and that is too bad. That's a drag. Would love to see some in there too. Even if it's AA and compete for the Coy. From what I gather, only the smaller towns (like you pointed out) have teams and there's a lot of travel for the out of division play. Kind of surprised the island doesn't have anything.

Rosetown has made an (kinda) official announcement today...firing up a new Twitter account which reveals them as a CHL team, too. Any news on teams in BC? I remember seeing you mention something about a potential Kelowna team. Are there any other leagues/teams in BC other than the Interior Senior AA league?
