www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=84976Here's the top scorer from Stony Creek...I believe Matt Ruberto has also been among the top 5-10 in ACH League scoring. Correct? He's a Tier II JR. guy who went on to want appears to be a Div III NCAA school. A bit of pro time, to be fair...but...this kind of resume would be found on a dozen SR AA rosters in Alberta. I could drive out to Big Valley & find the same player. Or Dewberry. Or Spirit River. Don't get me wrong...he's prolly a really good player. But there is NO WAY he's getting 43 points in 23 games in the Chinook League. He's a .50point/game guy in this league...at best. And that's after some farm brute gives him his Prairie Dental Special.

www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=99529Here is the kid who lit up Brantford the other night. I love this resume. Bowling Green is a high end hockey program for sure. Very nice looking player...but...the CHL has the same guy on every single roster in the league.

www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=42462Ryan Healy. They hung his jersey in Brantford last week, didn't they? Not a single game of Pro. He did 'OK' in OHL before becoming one of the all time best in the MLH/ACH. I've seen Healy play. He's a big, lumber-chopping forward. He's a 4rth line guy in Alberta.

www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=82952Here is another Alberta guy. Travis Dunstall was on fire for Horse Lake when they upset The Army in 2012. The Gens we're excited to give him a look on their Allan Cup team of 2013. He didn't pan out at all and Sutter scooped him onto Innisfails' roster last year. After a year and a half of being unheard from on the Chinook circuit...unable to produce points the way he did in JR, Innisfail dropped him off their roster. He was playing SR AA for Big Valley and no Alberta SR AAA even has a spot for him as an Affiliate Player. This is a guy who rattled off 40-50 point seasons in one of the best JR Hockey Leagues in the world, folks. This is a guy who was being scouted for an NHL shot 5-6 years ago. Again...not even good enough to stick on ANY Chinook League roster. Dunny would be a top scorer in the ACH. I'm confident he would be a guy any team out east would drool over.

www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=97867Here is a similar scenario played out in the ACH...except that..Cam Watson...with 3 pro games to his resume...is a top scorer in the ACH. Dundas dropped him during the AC drive...but...the rest of the ACH was on it like flies on horse shit and Cam Watson ended up as a big time All Star in the ACH. Perennially!

So...I guess what I'm trying to show here...is that I am NOT just barking at a shadow when I say I DO have what I feel is "study time" invested into my sometimes harsh or controversial opinions.
I've been in SR hockey rinks all over Canada. I've done 1000's of hours on the trail...watching & tracking SR teams & players. I KNOW there is nothing as accurate or tangible as being there to see "the player" up close & live.
But...come on...The ACH has a list full of top scorers who...based on what I research...wouldn't be the level of player Id be signing if I wanted to try and stop the Bentley Generals from going 23-1.

WADE MAN, I GOTTA ADMIT THAT FROM A DISTANCE AND NOT A HOMER, THAT THE CHL DOES APPEAR STRONGER BY A GOOD BIT. HECK, WITH VANDERMEERS STATS HE SHOULD BE PLAYING FOR THAT GOONY NEW EAST COAST SQUAD HEADING TO THE ALLAN! PS SHIELDS IS A GOOD ONE BUT NEVER WAS A POINT PER GAME PLAYER IN THE ECHL. CLOSE EVERY YEAR ,BUT JUST SAYING.

I am not arguing which league is better...because honestly, I have no idea.
I do know you are selling ACH intentionally short because if your (understandable) bias towards the Gennies.
If the Gennies are far and away the class of that league, then I do not see how it can be so much better than ACH, when 2 ACH teams proved last year they were, on average, as good or better than Bentley.
Add SC who are MUCH improved this year, that makes 3 good teams...and Whitby are probably a tad stronger...so that makes 4 teams who could all win the league, and all give the Gennies a better series than they are going to get out West.
Not that it matters at the AC, because Bentley and one of Dundas/Bfd or Kenora will be the last man standing .

Dundas dropped Cam Watson at what point in what season? now you really are just ranting like a loon. He wore the A last year, and I think he wears a different letter this year. but yeah...he sucks...hardly contributed at all in the AC last year, playing on the second line...
